Q: Can Rust Encapsulator be applied with the Undercoating System?
A: Technically, yes, but this application isn't recommended because Rust Encapsulator requires surface to be free of grease, oil, and loose rust. The best product to coat inside box sections is the 16017ZP Heavy-Duty Anti-Rust (Qt.). This waxy, oily product flows into pinch welds and through rust to seal surfaces from contact with moisture and air, but cannot be painted over, so it's only suitable for inside box sections that don't show. Use lacquer thinner for cleanup.

Quality products!
Restoring a 78 fj40 that was/is rusted more than I would have liked, I tried a different large well known company brand, which seemed to work fine but after using the rust encapsulator an the rubberized rust encapsulator, it was a night and day difference. I’m very pleased with the quality of both of these and a few of the others I’ve tried. They are more expensive but well worth it!

I have an aluminum bike frame to paint and thought I'd use your matte silver spray rust encapsulator that I have left over from previous project. Will the encapsulator adhere to aluminum as long as I clean and scuff first ?
Yes, This product will adhere to aluminum, The prep is very important Clean and Scuff the aluminum before application.

Can this product be used as a underhood paint? The heat resistance is higher in the rust encapsulator then the underhood product?
I used as under hood paint on my 1968 F100 it has been on 6 years and looks great and holds on good

Some of my chassis still has paint and some will be to bare metal. Is this product good to paint the whole thing, over the paint and bare metal?
Yes, you can apply this matte black rust-stopping paint directly onto surface rust and over properly prepped existing finishes and bare metal surfaces. I would test an area first to make sure there is no reaction as we cannot guarantee no reaction if existing painted surface is unknown.

What is the best way to seal up a rust hole in a windshield pillar. Can I use the emcapsulator and then body filler to close up the hole. I am trying to keep from having to remove the windshield and then weld the hole shut.
