Nice finish
I used a brush to apply and noticed that if I went to thick it would run. Once it started to set up you could not brush the run out. It has a nice finish when dry. I may try to spray next time.

Wow, this stuff I’ll kill you if you’re painting it in and close the area you really need ventilation that’s number one, number two preparation is key the better the prep, the better, the final outcome the finishes and super smooth and the paint is super thick, and the small container really stretched for me. I prepped the services by scraping light sanding, and then I use the vinegar solution as a final effort to clean the rust and wipe off any of the loose paint look at before and after pictures I have no idea how long this will last, but hopefully it lasts better than the rust oleum which stinks.

Great Product
Excellent product. Tip plugs frequent but an extra is included with every can. The tip is easy to clear with carb or brake cleaner. One can goes a long ways.

Dangerous!
As much as 35% of the can consists of isocyanates. Because it's a 1-part product I assumed this wasn't even possible. If you want to spray this, more power to you, but be aware that the regular Rust Encapsulator doesn't contain isocyanates (at least when I checked the SDS). After spraying 3 cans, I've had severe allergy symptoms and a cough that won't go away for several days now, and I wore a fresh respirator (3m 6800 full face with an OV paint respirator) the entire time. I wish I would have been more careful and just ordered the regular Rust Encapsulator. I'm sure this product is great, but it should really only be used by professionals or extremely knowledgeable/prepared hobbyists in an outdoor setting. This stuff will make you sick if you don't know what you're doing.

can you use this on outside oil tanks
Yes, Eastwood Rust Encapsulator Plus can be used on the outside of an oil tank. However, if the tank is exposed to direct sunlight, it is recommended to topcoat the Rust Encapsulator Plus for UV stability.

Can you use on aluminum running g boards

I’m wanting to trailer paint a boat trailer, it’s not rusty, just needs a paint job, what would you suggest I use?
This question all depends on what you are beginning with? Bare metal, start with a good epoxy primer. Already coated, seal with a good Urethane Primer. Fresh water or salt water boating? Many factors are involved in making your choice of products and topcoats. A single stage paint with clearcoat would be the toughest automotive paint option.

Will it cover thick rust? I want to protect my vehicle from rust but it's pretty thick, should I remove some first?
Yes, you will need to properly prep the surface using a wire brush or mechanical device. Eastwood Rust Encapsulators are designed for use on surface rusted metal. This will NOT work on heavily, delaminated rusted or rotted steel.
