Questions & Answers

I just got a family van, I want to do a white base and then add a light spray of blue flake and some blue pearl over it. There is some rust on the outside, and inside the jams, so i plan on doing some body work and then a complete respray. What do I need?

A great starting point to get an idea of what is needed will be to check out some of our videos on Youtube. Here's a great example. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lw0ObOdWnRE&t=6s

I have a 37 Ford Tudor Sedan. I plan to paint it a Bright White. If I mix 50g in a Gal of clear.. How many coats do I shoot on the car to just get a hint of blue when the sun hits it from different angles??

I want to add winner white flakes to your inter coat clear but would like to also add some blue pearl. Spraying over white base, what mix ratio would you recommend. I am looking for a sparkling white with a hint of blue when the sun hits it.

Asked by: Ernest
Typically for every gallon of paint/ clear (1) 50-gram container of flake/ pearl is added. More or less can certainly be added to increase or decrease the flake appearance. Based off of what you have described I would add a container of the white flakes and maybe half a container of the blue pearl.

Can this be used over a white base coat or is the color too dominant and would look mottled

Asked by: Warren
This can certainly be added over a white base coat, we would recommend using less than 50g a gallon of the product as the ratio.

Can you spray your pearl in clear coat. What color pearl would you use in light yellow base.

Asked by: Ronnie B
The Pearls are best sprayed in with a clear coat. As for color choice that is completely up to you.
