Eastwood Shop Table Kit Unpainted Bare Steel

Product Overview:

Description

A shop table kit from Eastwood lets you build exactly the kind of workbench you need for your shop.

Workbenches sound simple, but each one can be a little bit different. We know very few people who follow the assembly instructions to a T — home fabricators usually make their own customizations or tweaks to a table to suit the types of tasks they want to get done.

Eastwood Shop Table Bracket Kit Features:

  • Unpainted bare steel
  • 3/16 inch Heavy Gauge High Strength Steel
  • Laser cut and CNC bent for accuracy
  • Bolt together with 4x4 and 2x4 lumber
  • Weld together with 2.5in tubing and 2in angle iron
  • 8 brackets in kit make 1 table
  • You decide height and width of the table by the lumber or steel purchased.

Each auto shop is different, and a one-size-fits-all workstation many not fit you. The Eastwood Workbench Bracket Kit forms the foundation of a custom table for metal fabrication, part cleaning and many other task. Each package includes eight corner brackets made of 3/16-inch heavy-gauge steel steel. Use them to assemble a wood or steel table with the dimensions you’ve chosen. The brackets are fabricated in the USA with laser cutting and CNC bending for a precise fit.

Instead of trying to “make it work”, make a table that works for you by shopping at Eastwood. Supply your own lumber or angle irons and steel tubing to form the frame. You can mix and match materials, too. Whether bolted or welded, these brackets will hold them together for decades. You can also add center supports, storage shelves and more — the choice is yours! This DIY shop table kit is an affordable solution for mechanics who don’t mind putting in a little elbow grease to get the work surface they want. Do the Job Right with our 100% customer satisfaction guarantee.

They are designed to use 4x4 lumber or 2.5-inch square tube legs, and 2x4 lumber or 2-inch angle iron for surfaces. Laser-cut and CNC bent for accuracy, they will help hold that table together for generations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Strong, Straight, and True Built my table out of treated lumber - steel plates made it easy to get the top square and level. Suggest test fitting and pre-drilling all holes before assembly - easier to drill using a press or large corded drill.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shop table brackets Incredibly beefy, it must be 3/16 steel and holes are drilled already.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Built like brick shithouse Excellent quality; bought mine before Eastwood offered pressure treated. Design is perfect for a nice lower shelf for storying heavy stuff. If you match the 4x4 lengths, getting the top and bottom shelf level is pretty much automatic I bought mine years ago, and still enjoy the benefits of this most excellent product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Work table I’ve bought 3-4 of the and while the finished table is not cheap and it takes some effort to assemble it is still the best value for the money. With a little work it will make and outstanding work bench

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saw table These brackets were exactly what was needed for my saw table. The instructions say to use a 4.5" bolt and a 2.5" bolt but with the cost of material and every friggin thing else going through the roof you can use 4" & 2" bolts and cut your cost a little.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Durable Great Product I recently bought these work bench bracket to build me a sturdy wood lathe table. I chose these bracket because i can set the dimension of my preference. Mannn, these are some heavy weight steel brackets which is good. I see why they cost extra for powder coated painted ones because aerosol paint isn't going to last no matter how well you clean them. Instruction book is easy to follow but i did my table a different way with the bottom legs area. Buying the 4x4s, 2x4s, bolts, washers, nuts and screws is easy as instruction guide you to get. I also bought six 3" caster wheels with locks to mobilize this project as well. After cutting, drilling, screwing, assembling and adding caster wheels to my table was a work out but well built and worth it. I took pix during different stages until it was complete and it felt great to have invested in these brackets. I could've bought cheaper brackets from your local hardware store but for this project i need the strength to hold my new Rikon wood lathe with the extension bed all together. If anyone looking to invest in these steel brackets for a sturdy strong table, look no further, Eastwood have what you need and it's no joke. Thanks for reading my experience of these brackets from Eastwood and enjoy my pix.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Will not disappoint Bought this kit to build the ultimate end all work bench to replace smaller shop tables scattered around my basement work area. Really glad that I did. Took my time putting this together with my son, and ended up with a tank of a work bench. Included directions are easy to follow. I am going to add a few extra 2x4 stringers to support the top to get rid of any bounce when hammering. Tip: buy your hardware at your local farm supply store instead of a “big box” home improvement store. I found out the hard way that I could have saved about 50% on hardware.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good product, very industrial Pleased with the product and delivery. These are heavy duty and precise. I ordered unpainted, I primed and sprayed to get the appearance I wanted. Found black powder coated bolts, washers and nuts. Great COVID quarantine project. Built the bench, drawers, and chop saw slide out shelf to fit my needs. The corner brackets were the key to success in achieving the look and functionality I wanted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Choice for Build-Your-Own Workbench For my workbench I had several factors to deal with: My application backs up to a window so I needed to go vertical, to get higher than the window, which also meant I needed my pegboard tools on the two sidewalls, not the rear wall like most images of workbenches on the web. And last, for my application I needed space for bulk storage underneath. I had been searching the internet for build-your-own workbench brackets and ran across these Eastwood brackets. It was an immediate yes. I purchased them on the spot. Good quality. Thick. Heavy duty. I first had to paint the brackets (photo). I had complete confidence extending upward 8 foot high with these brackets as the support base (photo). This type of project does require strong DIY skills to build so heads up

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Work Table Brackets So I was very impressed when I found these online at Eastwood. I was looking to build a really big work table for my shop. Someone asked about where to buy carriage bolts "on the cheap" and I would say Tractor Supply or Rural King where they sell hardware by the pound. My table design has 3 layers of 3/4" plywood for the top, each layer glued and screwed. The perimeter of the plywood was hand power planed and 3/4" oak boards were screwed around the perimeter. The top and perimeter of the table were then coated with counter top laminate using rubber cement. A 45 degree router bit was used to add a chamfer to the corners of the table top. The exposed Oak boards were stained black to match the laminate. I did use 4x4's across the bottom, because I could not locate suitable casters that would mount to the bottom of the 4x4 legs (always 1 screw hole off the edge of a 2x4). I also had to saw a notch in the top of the center supports to mate up with the upper supports (circled in red). Turned out to be a rock solid and movable work surface.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Brackets Just received these brackets and finished building the work bench that I’ve been meaning to build for some time now. These brackets are exactly as described very strong and extra heavy duty. They also look awesome and worth the cost. I always read reviews on things I’m looking to purchase and usually read the bad reviews wanting to see what the complaints may be. I noticed in the past that some people had complained about the drilled holes not being the right size and even sent pictures showing these issues. However, the brackets I received worked perfect and looking forward to buying another set of brackets for another work bench I plan on building. Great product would definitely recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Sturdy Corner Brackets Purchased these brackets to build my first workbench. These brackets are very thick and sturdy with no sharp edges. I chose to prime and finish the brackets myself and purchased the bare versions. Keep in mind that you must buy the bolts, lock nuts and washers separately. I chose to reverse the base legs so that I can install leveling legs on the bottom and create more storage space. My design is also different because the rear two 4x4 are cut taller so that I could install overhead shelving.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Pleased The old table that was here when we bought the place, ten years ago, was black, very ugly, had far too many cross braces and the 4 x 8 foot, 3/16" steel top made it far too heavy for the wimpy little casters. It was time for a change. We bought the unpainted kit and I used some quality primer and spray paint on them. We also painted our lumber before we started cutting. I am not the most precise person in the world but I must say that I am very pleased with the results. I spent the money and bought some quality stem-style casters and drilled holes up into the 4x4 legs and it rolls with ease. I still have more things and features to add on, but I am very happy with the results.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great brackets worth the money After looking at several different work bench kits I decided to go with the Eastwood unpainted brackets and use local lumber to build. I powder coated the brackets myself and used Douglas fir from Lowe’s. The oak top is from Ikea with a plywood base beneath it. The casters flip up and down with a foot pedal. The Eastwood brackets are heavy duty and precision cut and bent. They were all identical. I’m very pleased with how well it turned out.

what’s the minimum  grade of carriage bolts I should use for loads over 50lbs?thx and that is on a table 8ft long with the extra suggested bracing in the middle.thx

Asked by: Anonymous
The carriage bolts used in the construction of a table using the 20195 Shop Table Brackets are subjected to static loading only in normal use of up to several hundred pounds and as such, standard Grade 2 bolts should be sufficient. If the anticipated table usage will subject it to occasional shock loads, or weight exceeding several hundred pounds, then Grade 5 bolts are recommended.
