Description

Eastwood Super Flakes come in a variety of awesome colors and effects. Super flakes are .004 or about 100 microns in size. Customize your project and create different looks using different color bases, Candeez and clears. Eastwood flakes are compatible with Eastwood Elastiwrap, Eastwood Candeez, Urethane clears, as well as basecoats and single stage urethanes. Packaged in 50 gram jars. Recommended add, 50 grams per gallon.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Blue flake This product has large blue flake just as advertised. Spayed a test panel and the black kinda gets lost but the blue flake is definitely visible. Looks like a good product but doesn't fit my application.

What size spray tip for a super flake

For Eastwood Super Flakes, which are categorized as micro-fine flakes (.004" size), a 1.2mm to 1.3mm tip size is recommended. This ensures proper flow and even application without clogging the spray gun. For small to medium flakes, a 1.4mm to 1.8mm tip size is commonly used. It is also important to remove the gun cup filter, as the filter can trap flakes and prevent them from passing through the spray gun.

Medium Flakes: A 1.3mm to 1.5mm tip should be sufficient. Large/Monster Flakes: A 1.7mm to 2.0mm tip is recommended.
