Instructions

Pre-Treatment: Clean area to be painted with Eastwood PRE Painting Prep (10041Z). Surface must be rust-free and dry prior to painting. For best results, prime with Eastwood Gray Self-Etching Primer (16114Z) or Epoxy Primer (14790Z), before top coating with Textured Underhood Silver. DO NOT use with enamel primers.

Mixing: Shake can Vigorously for at least one minute before use with occasionally during use.

Spray Passes: Apply two medium coats. Aproximate can coverage is 6 sq. ft. For best results, use between 70-90 degrees F (21-32 degrees C).

Spray Distance: Keep nozzle 8-10 inches from substrate.

Drying Time: Allow 1-2 hours in between coats. Allow 24 hours for full cure.

Storage: After painting turn can upside down and spray for two seconds to clear nozzle of paint, Discard empty can in trash, do not incinerate or compact.

Questions & Answers

Is this resistant to gasoline, oil, solvents, and other type chemicals? Wondering about durability and scratch protectant if you drop your tools onto it while working.

It will resist chipping, scratches and light impacts. For chemical resistance you would want to try the 2K Underhood Black.

Can this silver be applied to a radiator? I don’t want to paint my radiator black, but I can’t find your radiator paint in silver!

We would not be able to recommend this. The formula of this paint would insulate this- which would not end well. The only paint we sell we can recommend to be used on radiators is our radiator black.

Can you spray this product over urethane primer?

This is a lacquer based coating and should not be applied over a Urethane based primer.
