This blast cabinet has an internal light, low volume, non-duning hopper design with a high flow 15” Hg blast gun. It also has a large top opening design that eliminates the need for side doors and allows you to place the cabinet against a wall in a shop. Plus, it comes with window liners and grip-textured gloves to ensure a secure grasp on all objects. The Abrasive Blast Cabinet is the largest blast cabinet on the market that does not require truck shipping costs or drop gate fees, saving you a lot of money. It is built very sturdily with the capability to hold items up to 125 pounds. It has a wide top opening allowing you to fit 20” wheels, under hood components, suspension components and more. It has an internal hopper design that eliminates duning of deep V hoppers that other competing models struggle with. For best results, use with a compressor capable of at least 7 cfm @ 90 psi. Use with 60 grit or finer blast media. Use of Walnut shell media is not recommended.

Great Blasting Cabinet
This is my first blasting cabinet. Easy to put together and instructions are very clear. Takes a few hours and would have helped to have an extra set of hands while assembling the larger pieces. I’ve been blasting away and the gun works perfectly. The finish and fit are of very high quality.

All good, but I notice that I was getting shocked, so I grounded the gun to the chassis. took care of that ESD problem.

Good value for the money spent
Built well and high quality. Excellent instructions on assembly. The front load door is great. Cabinet has good lighting. There are no dust or sand leaks. I highly recommend spending just a little extra and getting more bang for your dollar by buying this cabinet. Amber M., the customer service representative from Eastwood, did an outstanding job of taking care of my issue with the broken glass (damaged during shipping). Eastwood is a good company to deal with.

In the description, You recomend to use a fine 60 grit... what happen if I have to use 100 grit ? thank you
We mention to use 60 grit or finer as fart as media in general in this cabinet. The specific media type and grit used depends on your scenario/ application. Abrasive media works in reverse as far as grit (just like sandpaper); so the higher the number- the less aggressive the media will be. Any grit labelled under 60 (such as 40 or 50) would be too coarse of a particle and clog the unit. Hi ! What type of calk can i use to calk all the seam of the blast cabinet ? Some people say to not use silicone !

Can you recommend a good compressor for this?
We recommend a compressor capable of 7 CFM @ 90 PSI. If you want a compressor with plenty of overhead for larger nozzles that is also so quiet you can have a conversation right in front of it while running, I recommend our #63600 Scroll compressor. It does 12.7 CFM @ 90 psi.

Does this unit have a 'port' to plug in a dust collection system? or would one have to be drilled in the side?
There is a tube on the back side of the unit, left hand side when viewed from the front, for a dust collection system to be integrated with.

Why is it not recommended for walnut media?
Walnut shell is very coarse in size (ours is a 12-20 grit mixture for example). These cabinets need media that is 60 grit or finer (60 or a higher number) or it will clog.
