Bend metal to your desires using this manual fabrication tool designed with DIYers in mind. The Eastwood Manual Sheet Metal Brake is the simplest, most efficient way to form bends and creases in panels. In addition to standard variable-length bends, it also can do ½-inch offset bends up to 90 degrees. It’s a fast way to reinforce floors, create channels and ribs, build custom truck beds, make pans and much more. Add the Versa Bend Metal Forming Brake for even more control when working on window channels, rocker panels and other hard-to-form parts.
This offset metal brake tool can bend widths up to 20 inches in 20-gauge sheet steel and 18-gauge aluminum — and it also works on 18-gauge mild steel in smaller sizes. It comes with bench mount brackets and a vice mount tab so you can set the system up the way you prefer. Go to the Eastwood Garage and search “sheet metal brake” to see just some of the projects our team has completed using our in-house tool. It has a one-year warranty like all hand tools from the Eastwood R&D guys.
CREATE:
Floor reinforcement
Channels and ribs
Sections of corrugated pickup bed floors
Truck bedside panels
Inner fender structures
1 Year Warranty
And much more all with one convenient vise or bench mount tool.
This tool is considerably heavy. Use extreme caution when mounting or dismounting when using a vice or other temporary fixturing arrangement. Personal injury could occur if tool is dropped. Pinch Hazard. Keep fingers away from moving parts when operating. Wear appropriate work gloves and protective clothing. Sheet metal will often have sharp edges which can cause cuts to hands and arms. Wear appropriate eye protection. Metal chips can be ejected during the bending process.

Practical and PreciseSimple to set up and use. Forming was quick and bends were crisp.
The vice mount is practical for me as I can set the brake aside when I don't need it.

Beautiful BrakeBrake worked beautifully first time out. Had to do two 90* bends in 26 gauge stainless steel with 5/8" width between the two bends. Clamped on my scribed line and bent away. Bend radius was already accounted for, bends and dimensions came out perfect.

Very good quality aluminumNicely built, good quality tool.
To this point I have only used it for the reason I bought it, the bending of .040 aluminum, and it does an excellent job with one caveat; I did have to form a shoe for under the break form as it was too sharp for the aluminum. Once I made a couple of trial bends and found what positioning was needed for what I needed it work very well. I bolted it to my welding bench, but it will be easy enough to store away.

This break will bend your 22 Gauge sheet. To make a U as tight as 3/8" you will need to purchase the bead forming brake Item #20411

What is the minimum pan depth that can be made with this bender? Will it make a pan that is 1/4" deep and 3" square? Using either 18 or 20 gauge mild steel.
Asked by: Thor
This unit does not have the ability to box and or pan work. You would want one of our Box and Pan brakes for an application of this sort.

Why are bends limited to 90 degrees? Other brakes can handle up to 135 degrees.
Asked by: Jhottle
Much past 90 degrees and the metal will start hitting the support.
