Metal Cutoff Saw
I used the saw to make (10) 2" stainless steel pipe cuts (using the special blade) and the machine worked great. It held the pipe securely and the cuts were all straight. Remember this is a 7-1/4" saw not a 14" abrasive cutoff wheel so you need to let the saw blade do the work and not try to rush a cut and overload the motor. It worked great and will be used for other projects when I need a straight cut.

This tool is an incredible time saver - cuts fast and leaves a weld ready edge.

PRO's: Overall I like it. I mainly cut small 1/8 angle iron, 1 x1 square steel tubing and other miscellaneous steel. Nice smooth cuts and is ready for welding. Light weight easy to move around the shop and The quick-release adjustable vise is a nice feature when cutting from 90 degrees to 45 degrees and has an excellent warranty period. CON'S: The dust port is useless when cutting metal, the gap between the vacuum port and the blade is too wide. I have a high-suction shop vacuum and it won't suck the metal chips. Needs to be redesigned for better suction. The hold-down chain looks cheap a locking pin would be better. One note worth mentioning. I have read about installing the saw blade is difficult. This is not true, it slipped into place with no effort. Saw a youtube video of a guy using a larger flat-blade screwdriver and prying it into place while bending the blade guard. Unbelievable. Look and think before installing the blade.

Decent quality for the price.
Picked it up from Eastwood a couple of weeks ago, got about a 100+ cuts on it so far, blade is holding up pretty well. Majority on the cuts are 1-1/4 angle and tubing with 1/8" thickness" with and no issues. Miter angle is pretty close. But will need truing.

Ok saw
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like the saw, but hate the locking mechanism. Make sure to loctite the piece that goes on round part to tighten the clamp as it will come off. Wish i would have spent the extra money and got the 14"

The saw cuts well, but I was disappointed with how quickly the blade went dull just cutting mild steel tubing. Hopefully a new blade will allow me to keep using the tool.

Design issue with blade installation
Getting the saw blade installed is a very tight fit requiring the blade to be wedged against the blade housing to get the arbor where it fits in the hole in the center of the blade. Having to jam the carbide blade against anything with enough force to slightly bend the blade around the arbor is a design defect. Once the blade is in the saw works well enough, just put off by this sloppy design. I expected more.

weak motor. Cannot sustain rpm during cutting even with 2"x1" stocks.

Fence broke when cutting 1/2” steel rod. Blade caught rod at the end of the cut, snapped the forged fence and shot the cut end across the shop floor. Lucky no one got injured.
