Nice systemThe unit works well for painting and you don't have to worry about moisture in your line. I have left mine running for quite awhile, and it has not overheated. I do wish that the cup adapter that it comes with was not permanently threadlocked so that I could switch out another adapter for use with my generic disposable cups.

DIYers - get this tool - worth the value!First and foremost, I am not a professional painter or auto technician. Just a hobbyist working on a ‘74 Chevy Project Truck and everything I've learned about painting and prep has been learned from Eastwood videos (thanks, they are awesome).
After months of evaluating this system and other, more expensive systems, I finally shelled out the $$$$ to get this fantastic system. And I am very satisfied with it's quality. I also purchased 4 needles, for all others kinds if materials this system can throw down.
I've only started the paint project: prepared surfaces, epoxy primer, urethane primer...and soon to paint. After a few tries of using ‘water color’ to test system (spray pattern, air flow and develop my technique) I was set to spray urethane primer.
It went down well, and only had what I think are two user errors/problems: 1) I'd develop a drip once in a while, that would require me to whip the gun nozzle and clean it with pre-paint spray in order for it to spray properly again. I'm thinking urethane primer was too heavy (used 1.8 noodle, as recommended), and this is normal when using turbine sprayers with high build primer.
2) The paint canister lid would leak out primer. The requires a lot of pressure to seal properly, recommend cleaning with each fill up. I may try to find a better gasket seal, rather than the one that came installed.
Finally, the gun. Very good value. Easy to adjust and easier to disassemble and clean up. Only a few parts, and intuitive how to reassemble. I'd suggest buying a few cans of aerosol cleaner when purchasing gun. I used about half a can and 2 oz of acetone. I'd also buy a separate stand so you fill your gun - while not on turbine stand. I've seen a lot of videos of guys doing that online. I'd hate to think what would happen, if fluid spilled inside system.
Get this powerful system DIYers - you won't be disappointed.
Highly recommend this system. Powerful and ideal for the DIY folks! Can't wait to throw down paint and clear coat.

Great investmentI have used both compressed air for spraying as well as turbine units. I have owned many different brands including Apollo. This one intrigued me because of the price, reputation of Apollo and the fact that it was a gravity feed gun. I never liked using turbine systems with bottom feed cups for 2 reasons. The cup is always in the way and the hoses from other brands are really bulky and heavy. Apollo hose is so light weight and with the gravity feed gun, it feels like I am spraying with a conventional system.
The is so much less over spray compared to using an HVLP compressed air gun. I sprayed with my turbine and then switched to an HVLP compressed air gun and you could see the difference. I feel like the turbine lays a better finish as well. Less bounce back and more transfer efficiency. I also don't have to worry about moisture and oil in my lines.
I have been in the furniture business for over 40 years and I am starting a new adventure. This will work fine for that. I also am a drummer and started to refinish a drum set using this system. Working on clear coat now.

mother of GODso I bought this gun for Liquid Wrap use, not paint. and I have to say that I am beyond blown away with how this gun is performing. I have been using it for just over a month now and the ease of use is phenomenal. I have 0 background in any painting aspects other than using a rattle can, and I can produce need professional finishes with the Apollo.

5 stage turbineGreat concept, and execution, sprays well. Leaks out of paint tank when spraying down.
What size tip is needed for spraying primer, base coats and clear coats? Is it the same as an help sprayer with a compressor? 1.2-1.4? Because the 0.8 it says it comes with just seems too small for anything
Asked by: Chud
Your thicker Primers have best results in the area of a 1.8 tip and needle. Utilize a 1.4 tip and needle for paint and clearcoats.

The noise level of the Eastwood 5-Stage Turbine Painting System - Powered by Apollo is designed to be quiet during operation. However, specific decibel (dB) levels are not provided in my knowledge base.

I contacted Apollo in CA and they told me your kit comes with the 7700-600 gun but your add indicates at 7500 gun. Which is correct and what is the difference?
Asked by: AlDuke
Ours is a 7500
the difference is the needle size which will not produce a sizable difference

Can you run the hose through a cooler filled with ice to lower the air temp at the spray gun? Are there problems with the paint drying before it hits the surface to be painted due to warm air being spayed?
Asked by: mike29
using the appropriate temperature activators in the correct climate ease any fear of dry spray .
you could try cooling the lines but its not needed
