Rated 5 out of 5 by from SEAM SEALER It tends to dry up the brush you use pretty fast so you might need more than one brush to use while you applied it on. Takes about a week to cure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Seam Sealer. This is agreat seam sealer. Very easy to use. Dries fast, no mess.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I needed I made some difficult rust repairs where my firewall meets the windshield cowl. I was concerned about pinholes in the welds and to a bit lesser extend the aesthetics of the repair. With that and the 40 year old cab was never really being well sealed in this area, I wanted to do better. I actually purchased this for some of the external firewall repairs and intended on purchasing the 2k seam sealer for the coal area but after working with it, this stuff seemed to ‘level’ well enough I gave it a go. I masked off the cowl slots and applied with some acid brushes. I don’t think I could have gotten a better result. Water will now flow across the cowl and down the side of the cab where it should rather than through the seams and down the firewall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as advertised I was looking for a seam filler that would match what was originally used in my 1970 Plymouth Road Runner and found this product. I had no problem using a foam brush to apply this product and get a finish that was very similiar to original. I am very satisfied with the results.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Seam sealer This stuff works great, easy to spread and dries fast. Will buy more if need to.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great stuff Used this on 3 vehicles now. Description says it dries flexible but it really doesn't seem to be once cured. Not rubbery or foamy like the stuff old cars used that trapped moisture. This is more like an epoxy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Seam sealer Used it on firewall seams on stripped pickup body inside and out and it worked perfectly using a stiff acid brush
Date published: 2017-11-18
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product! Used this seam sealer on a truck bed trailer project & it worked great for my use! I liked the fact that I can brush it on instead of using a caulk gun like others I've used in the past.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Performs as designed Opened my new can of Seam Sealer this weekend. Drew out enough to cover the section that I was working on. It provided me around 10 minutes of work time to get it spread as desired. Product stated that it will setup in 60 minutes and that appears to be accurate. Simple to spread with a small brush.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Brushable Sealer ever I have used several brushable sealer's before (not Eastwood brand). Most do not hold up. The 1 can I used of Eastwood's sealer is holding up to date. Just made a purchase to clean frame and finish with Eastwood frame & body part sealer. Much better product. Highly recommend

Rated 5 out of 5 by from brushable seam sealer Really good product sets up quick a glove and some lacquer thinner smooths real nice
Date published: 2016-05-03
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brush able seam sealer Was able to cover lower door seams and quarter panel pinch seams well. Spread well with an acid/flux brush, and if you want a smooth look I used wax and grease remover on my glove finger tip and smoothed out well. No issues with pin holes vertical or horizontal! Good product thanks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great protection, user friendly Tried this product to restore the fender well undercoating on my 1979 VW Rabbit Diesel. First can worked perfect. Easy stiff brush application, non-sagging, seals and stays in place and it is thick enough to protect with just one coat. Experienced no pin hole problems and found that if you want a smoother finish than original consistency permits, try adding a little xylol to a side mixture of a small portion of the product until you get a consistency that smooths out more easily. Thinning, of course, might require additional coats. Had no reservations ordering a second can to finish the job. Both orders were promptly delivered. Have used other Eastwood products and would recommend them all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Next best thing to OEM seam sealer but better. I have used these type products in the pass and have had fair results. I started using this product 5 years ago and the results has been excellent every time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great product Love this stuff, use what you need put the lid back on. no fooling with tubes or mixing stuff together. I tape up the edges I want and apply it with a small acid brush, perfect every time

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gray goo Never used seamsealer before and i dident care to drop hundreds of dollars for one of those 2 part 2k guns so i decided to try out brushable seamsealer. Seen a bunch of good or decent reviews so i decided to try the eastwood stuff. First off this stuff is tar thick like really thick. They say to use a brush but good luck with that. I just decided to use a narrow putty knife and slather it on the floor seams and in the corners of floorboards. It skins over pretty quick but using a putty knife your able to smooth it out as you apply it so it goes on pretty fast and smooth. I put it on kind of thick in a few spots so they are taking a while to really firm up but on all the thinner areas they have firmed up quite nicely. Thinner areas 3/16 thicker areas 1/4 or so. Dont have any long term feedback yet but if all the trouble it takes getting it off you is any indication of how well its going to hold up it should be there for a very long time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product! I've used several seam sealers in the past and I really like the way this sealer goes on. You can smooth it out or you can leave the factory style brush marks. Accepts paint real well and dries quickly. It doesn't sag and you can almost do with out the tube type sealer. Almost! It will stiffen up fairly quick on you, but is still workable enough to get the desired finish. Good product at a fair price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brushable Seam Sealer I bought this to seal up and finish some patch panels I made for my 69 Camaro. Applies easily, looks good, paint stuck well, yet time will tell how well it holds up. I'm expecting no issues, appears to be a quality product.
Date published: 2015-03-11
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works like a charm! Have been using Eastwood seam sealer in my restoration shop for years now. It is a little thick but fills in larger gaps that a thinner product would not. I use a 1" brush & the trick is to apply an ample amount of sealer along the seam then move the brush very S L O W L Y. It will smooth out & lay down just like the factory did.
Date published: 2015-03-09
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked better an I had hoped. Used for sealing seams under the car and in floor. Just thick enough to work from underneath without sagging. When on well, was easy to control and flow where I wanted it to go. It took paint well. Don't know how well it will hold up over time yet. I would recommend it to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great seam sealer! The brushable seam sealer goes on very easily and sets up relatively quickly and firm. No noticeable shrinkage and no sagging. My only complaint is that it is relatively thick and sets up a little too quickly for smoothing long sections. To smooth out brush marks, I found that moistening my finger or acid brush with SEMsolve or PRE helps flatten brush marks and feather edges without compromising the intended functionality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product... and shelf life! I bought a quart of Eastwood's Brushable Seam Sealer back in 2009 when I started my S&H Gran Torino restomod and just finally got around to using it! I was concerned that the product would have hardened or become unusable after being stored 5 years in an uncontrolled temperature environment for several years, but to my surprise, the sealer was still very creamy and spreadable and flowed very well sealing the underbody floor seams of my Striped Tomato!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product! After restoring several classic cars, ive tried a few different types and brands of seam sealer. Some are too thick and dont lay down well, others dont hold up. Eastwood seam sealer lays out excellent and has held up perfectly! Just bought another quart and i'll be using it on my classic mustang project, thanks!

Technically you can apply new over old but best results always would be to remove as much of the old as possible and start fresh. If the sealer dries so quickly, is leaving the can open a problem when applying? Can it be thinned out if needed using.....?

Asked by: tojoII
The Seam Sealer will air dry in the 1 hour, the pot life, "in the can" will take a lot longer to skin over. You can smooth out the seam sealer with some Pre and using your finger with a glove on it, to work it into the shape that you need.
