Eastwood Electric Yellow is a premium acrylic urethane topcoat that provides exceptional long-lasting beauty and durability. This premium two component topcoat system is blended with top-quality raw materials and advanced composition coatings technology. Superior to acrylic, alkyd and lacquer coatings, a catalyzed urethane system offers unsurpassed durability and resistance to UV exposure, chemicals and annoying stone chips. Eastwood's line of paints will hold their gloss longer and won't yellow. 96 Fl. Oz 3:1 Single stage Topcoat system, requires 21856ZP activator.

Application Tips
Clean surfaces of all contaminants. Abrade surface to be painted with a minimum of 320 grit sandpaper working up to a 600 grit for maximum adhesion. Re-clean surface. After shaking paint, mix 3 parts paint with 1 part activator. Use caution mixing materials as paint may begin to gel after 2 hours at 70Ö. HVLP gun setting 8-10psi 1.4-1.8mm tip. This color is designed to give complete coverage in 2-3 coats. Allow 10 minutes flash time between coats, should be tack free in 45-60 minutes, full cure in 18 hours.

Good Gloss
Seems high quality, flows out nice, doesn't run easily, use reducer to help flow. This Color is translucent, best to use all white primer underneath it, or you need like 5-6 coats. Does collect bugs or dust particles, so have well filtered paint area.

Fantastic Paint but Not Enough Information on it Published in Documentation
This is fantastic paint but I painted over half of my car (stripped of all doors, hoods, etc.) before I realized something was wrong. I normally shot Dupont enamels. Well this paint is nothing like that. I shot it at 28 psi like that of the Dupont enamels. It turned to dust but I kept on shooting and looking for the wet paint and I would get it but then it bubbled up all over. I spent time researching it online to find out I had to shoot it at around 10-12 psi. That then did it and I used the Eastwood reducer also. After this was determined I sprayed many other parts that came out just great.

How long do you have to wait to redcoat after it has dried?( after 18 hrs has passed)
After 18 hours you can topcoat any time after the surface has been abraded for adhesion.

Can you cut and buff the single stage? If so how much time needed before you start?
Single Stage can certainly be cut and buffed and should be done after 18 hours.

Can I use a reducer with this product?
Yes, any of our Urethane reducers we sell can be used with this paint. This can be reduced up to 20%.
