Work in a well ventilated area when applying this product. The use of a respirator like our Professional Respirator (34029) is recommended when applying this coating.

Application Tips

Heavy Duty Anti Rust forms an airtight & watertight barrier. This soft coating is most commonly applied in doors, rocker panels and other closed box sections. H.D. Anti Rust is also an excellent lubricant for leaf springs & internal door parts. Covers 6 sq. ft. Max Temp 175 F. For treating larger areas, use Heavy Duty Anti Rust 28 oz (16017ZP) in the Undercoating System (16003). Work in a well ventilated area, or use a respirator like our Pro Respirator (34229). For removal, scrape heavy build-up w/ a scraper & wipe off residue w/PRE & a cloth.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kind smelly for a while (but what did you expect?) Large can holds lots of liquid with plenty of pressure to blast the product all over the insides of body panels. Thin viscosity creeps into all seams and folds. Still, seems a little pricey for a spray can of cosmoline. Be prepared to catch the excess that runs out the drainage holes, it can be stored in an airtight jar to be brushed on other parts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Did I say GREAT!! I have used this for about 6 years have done 3 new vehicles and 4 restored cars and trucks. As soon as I buy a new vehicle I spray all seems doors hood front edge, hinges, exposed bolts, trunk or lift gate suv and under side where water and dirt collect. My most recent found use is on the deck of my commercial lawn mower, it makes cleaning so easy most grass does not seem to stick. I use the extension nozzle Eastwood sells and to make it stiff and easy to control I insert a length of mig wire in the tube and mark the tube so I know when it will be coming out. Using the wire allows you to bend the tube and reach areas not easy to access. I buy 6-12 cans at a time a great product that does stop rust!!!! When used with internal frame coating your restoration will last. Thanks Eastwood!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from In the rust belt, it should be factory done. A week after I bought my 2010 Toyota Tacoma I found out it was under a safety watch for rusty frames. I consider myself lucky as my truck didn't have much rust, just some surface rust. I used the rust encapsulator, the amber anti rust, and the 360 degree hose extension to thoroughly gave my truck a rust preventative treatment. I tried both the bulk spray on applicator and the aerosol cans. The aerosol cans are easier to manage and with the 360 hose extension you can get at the inner panels. I straightened out the extension with a little heat and it slid up the drain holes in the doors and tail gate with ease. Buy 2 extensions and cut about 6 inches off one and you can get at the hard to get reach places. In the spring I plane a follow up. It's my opinion that in the rust belt all vehicles should have some type of rust preventative applied to the underside before it leaves the dealer lot. The only problem I have with the product is there's a lot of waste when the product drips out of the drain holes. But I'd rather have that knowing I made my best attempt at protecting the inner panels from rust.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heavy duty anti rust Sprayed well with their undercoating gun and spend the extra for the wands it lets you get inside rockers and cavities well! As far as longevity time will tell but looks and smells just like Ziebart coating! Very pleased and will be buying more for seasonal touch ups!

can the HD anti rust amber be used on a vehicle that had been Krown oil sprayed 2 years ago? And is it compatible with Krown inside door panels, frame, etc. ?

Unfortunately, we can not guarantee compatibility with any product we do not sell since we only test with items that we sell personally. Chemically, I don't see it being an issue but we would have to advise you to test a small area first.

If used inside a door will a peel and stick insulation adhere to the Heavy Duty Anti Rust?

Nothing sticks to it as it is a waxy, greasy spray that never drys only sets up. Great for stopping rust!
