Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect For Interior Change This product worked perfectly for my interior color change from light grey to matte black. Light even sprays made a very natural texture to the panels. Very choice to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Believe it! It works!! This stuff REALLY works!!! Follow the directions carefully and the results are amazing. Don’t expect it to do your work for you. Proper prep work has to be done but when it is, the results are well worth the seemingly steep price.

Questions & Answers

My interior middle console which I think is plastic...has an area with kind of rubber or plastic coat thats pealing. Will this product work if I just spray over it? Or scrape all old material and spray?

Asked by: Hlthprof
This is designed to go over hard trim plastic pieces. If you were to try on that surface recommend removing the old material.

I have an '82 pickup and the original black plastic grill is fading pretty badly and looking more grayish. These original grills are extremely rare so I want to use the best possible product, is this my answer?

Asked by: Saxmachine
Yes, this would be a great option. Rather than being a paint this product is essentially more of a dye to re-dye the plastic surface. It will be very durable and uv stable.

Used the product worked well but I ended up scuffing/scraping a few spots during my install. My question is can I touch up the spots or will it be necessary to resorts the entire heater box? If I am able to touch up do I need to sand said areas first?

Asked by: CVPucci
There are no established procedures for doing small touch up with this product. The Eastwood Plastic Resurfacer(15089Z) is a potent product which actually re-flows the plastic surface (it is not a paint) so it is recommended to spray the piece to ensure a good color match over the entire surface. Sanding is not recommended as the sanding marks may reflect through to the surface after treatment.

Will this work on a motorcycle inner faring and should it be used with the pre paint aresol?

Asked by: JoeA
If the inner fairing is a black plastic (not fiberglass) the Eastwood Plastic Resurfacer should work to restore it to a it original appearance. Read all directions before use as this is a Restorer and not just a paint. We do recommend cleaning the surface with Eastwood's Pre Paint Prep(10041Z).

Will this be the best product for my heater core box under the hood of a 71c10? It feels plastic or fiberglass material thank you

Asked by: Tn1971
If the heater box is plastic the Eastwood Resurfacer will work when applied according to the directions. You may also want to consider Eastwoods Underhood Black(10024Z) as this paint will bond well to your heater box and will provide a factory OEM matching finish.

what product would you recommend to stop rust on old tool boxes and soccer cases?

Asked by: hudock
We would recommend Eastwood's Rust Encapsolator either in gallons, quarts or spray cans. Rust Encapsolator is designed to be painted over prepared rusty surfaces. It will neutralize and stop the rust and can be used as a top coat or a base for other paints. The rust needs to be wire brushed to remove loose flaking and then wiped with a cleaner such as Eastwood's Pre Painting Prep(100441Z) Go to www.eastwood .com and check out our full line of rust encapsulating products by typing Rust Encapsolator on the search bar.

I own a year 2000 Honda S2000 with very bleached plastic at the roll hoops and the center plastic above the glove box. Will this work on those interior parts? Will the parts loose their original grain?

Asked by: Thugnacious_D
Yes this should work great for the application in reference. This essentially re dyes the surface so it will not affect the grain or texture of the surface.
