Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome result I have a Honda ST1100 motorcycle with grey plastic trim that was getting untidy, especially after I had the fairings re-painted. I removed the fairings and trim and re-coated the trim with this stuff and it's awesome. It's had wind, rain, sun, waterblasting, stones thrown up on it and it's like it was always black, it's not fading, flaking or wearing. Very impressed.

The window trim on 80's and 90's Toyotas use a plastic coated stainless steel to achieve the 'blackout' look. Will this product revitalize that Toyota trim and last without fading?

Asked by: mfg_guy
This should really be used on only all plastic components only. It essentially redyes that surface rather than coating like a paint would.

Can’t you use regular masking tape to protect areas that you don’t want to get this on?

Asked by: Steverp43
Regular painters tape would be fine for this.

I used deep woods off while fishing. The over spray went on my dash. I got little white spots on dash. Will this product bring out spots

Asked by: Bill
This product will cover the white spots on the dash. We would recommend using interior paint for vinyl instead of the plastic resurfacer.

Would the plastic restorer be appropriate for a black Thule roof box with sone scratches?

Asked by: Donald
This will not remove any scratching/ imperfections. It merely re dyes the surface back to the original black color.

I am looking to change the color and repair some scratches to my truck's front plastic bumper cover. So do I need to sand/remove the existing paint? How do I repair/fill the scratches for a smooth surface?

Asked by: dnordo
This is not a paint. This product is more of a dye to re dye a surface.

I have a long scratch, you can feel it in the back of my 4 runner interior(plastic).I need something to fill in the area. Will this work to fill the area as well? If not, any recommendations?

Asked by: Steph
This product is more of a dye to bring back the original coloring to the surface- it does not do any filling. If you need to fill in a scratched or cracked surface on a plastic we highly recommend the SEM Bumper Bite:
