Ensure surface is clean and free of debris. Wash with soap and water, let dry. For really dirty surfaces with embedded contaminants, use Eastwood PRE Painting Prep. Shake can for 2 minutes. Hold can 8 to 10 inch from surface, apply in light coats waiting 5 to 10 minutes bewteen coats. Apply until complete coverage is acheived 2 to 4 coats. Do not apply heavily, allow the surfacer to penetrate the substrate. Please read and fully understand the instructions on the label of the can before use.

Pre Paint cleaner/degreaser/conditioner and Eastwood Plastic Resurfacer.I love the stuff, it really works and lasts a long time! I wish it was not so expensive and shipping also but I will keep buying it because it is the only thing that I have found that works!!

If a plastic grill had been previously painted as a previous attempt to restore would it be necessary to remove that paint prior to applying the plastic resurfacer?

How does this product work with "sticky dash." The dash was either damaged by the sun or someone previosly used a incompatible cleaning product resulting in a constant sticky feeling to the dash.

The recommendation would be to address the "sticky" dash issue before applying or using this product. I have dealt with this and there is great advice online if you search how to address sticky dash. If the stickiness is widespread, it is usually the result of plasticizers in the material breaking down over time, especially if the car is exposed to excessive heat and sunlight.

Will this work on PVC boat rail?

Will this bond with nylon?

It would be a trial. There is no specific detail about its compatibility with nylon. The Eastwood Plastic Resurfacer is designed to re-flow the plastic surface and restore a factory finish look. For optimal adhesion and results, it is generally recommended to use a plastic adhesion promoter on bare plastics before applying the resurfacer.
