Application Tips
Make sure surface to be coated is free of any coating or rust. Abrasive blast or wire brush to remove all rust and other coatings. Liberally spray derusted manifold with PRE Painting Prep (10041Z) and allow to dry. Apply two medium coats (dabbing with a disposable foam brush works well to minimize brush marks), allow coating to dry overnight before reinstalling part on car. Coating does not need to be heat cured however it will further cure on start-up in 20- 30 minutes. Paint is thin enough to spray right from the can. Clean up with lacquer thinner. Use a fresh cartridge in a quality respirator if spraying.

Questions & Answers
can I use this on brick
Yes, you can use Eastwood Hi-Temp Satin Black Paint on brick, especially for indoor high-heat areas, as long as the surface is clean, dry, and properly prepped. Not Recommended for
Unsealed outdoor brick exposed to rain or heavy moisture. This paint is not a masonry sealer and may degrade over time if exposed to the elements.

Can this product be removed easily if I no longer want my exhaust painted?
This depends on the age and how long it's been applied. Ceramic or heat paint would be harder than normal paint, but should be removable with chemical stripping, sanding or blasting.

I am looking for paint for my old exhaust, and removing absolutely all rust isn't possible. Can this be applied directly onto rust, assuming the surfaces are clean and dry?
To give this paint the best adhesion and greatest durability the rust must be removed before paint by either sanding, grinding, or blasting the part.
