I never take the time to review things unless they are absolute trash, or awesome. And this is awesome and worth the money 100%. I tried 4 other of “the best” spotweld cutters and they are all in the trash now.

Better then the rest.
I’ve used all different kinds of spot weld the past 30 years. They all have their pros and cons. However I always end up back to these every time. I center punch the weld first, drill a pilot hole, then make sure you apply plenty of pressure and drill at low speed. Stop when you hear the pop or see the panels separate. I’m still on my first cutter and I’ve done at least 5 sets of pickup bed sides and a dozen rocker panels. If you try and cut through the weld at too much of a hi-speed or at a angle the cutter WILL over heat and lose its edge or fetch up, crack and break. just like drill bits. They all will.

Better than advertised...
I'm sceptical about how well tools are said to work, but in this case , better than advertised. The only time I had any problems was if I was not straight to the weld I was cutting. Pilot error. So we'll worth the money. Get to know how it works before you complain about it.

Best cutter I've ever used.
This set is far and away the best cutter I've used. The first head went through well over 60 cuts. Did use WD-40 for oil. Am on my second of the three cutters now. The pilot bit works well, in that it does not drill all the way through. This is helpful for welding the new material onto the piece you are trying to save. The key to this cutter is PATIENCE. Let the tool do the work. Don't force it.

Skip-proof spot weld cutter
I am very pleased with this tool. It takes plenty of patience to use this tool, especially on 65 year old spotwelds. I think you need to add a small brochure on the proper use of this tool.

Does the pilot bit create a hole through the both panels?
The depth of the pilot bit can be adjusted to how far you will need to drill through.

Is there a 5/16 cutter tip that can be ordered for this kit? I have kit already and it is great, but some welds need a little smaller cutter. Thanks, Ron
