Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from mixed well, thinned well, clear laid well I'm a full-on noob shooter, and got the reducer after reading online that the low VOC high-solid clear needed reducing. After mixing the clear and medium-speed activator 4:1, I added another 1.5 of reducer. It was prolly 80*, low humidity, no wind (yeah, shooting in an outside tent. I said I was a noob) day. Clear laid down well, cured to touch fast. I read complaints about guns clogging without the reducer. I had no such issues. Used a 1.4 tip. Killed the reducer before I finished the gallon of clear, but my job was finished anyway.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked very well with my airbrush. Really made a difference on the clear & the way it flows through the airbrush. Allows to apply thinner coats of clear.

Questions & Answers

How much Urethane Reducer 50104ZP would you add to to an normal 2:1 mix of European clear 50251ZP with H/S Clear activator 502522ZP?

Asked by: Hank
When adding reducer to a normally two part product. Less is better. Add a small amount at a time. 5% Test spray, then add more if absolutely necessary. You can always add, but cant remove. 20% maximum.

I have the roll on epoxy primer can i use the reducer to also make it a roll on sealer

Asked by: Scott
We do not recommend reducing the Optiflow. The epoxy will act as a sealer even if not thinned.

I have the roll on epoxy primer system. I am looking at this reducer to make it sprayable. Is this something that I can even do with that primer?

Asked by: Anonymous
The Optiflow primers are designed to be rolled on and are not designed to be sprayed on. We have our standard Epoxy primers in quart and gallon kits that are intended to be sprayed.

How much do I need to reduce base coat if any at all

Asked by: Jim442
Technically, reducer is not requires with our 4:1 basecoats or our 3:1 SSU however it is strongly recommended. However, these can be reduced up to 20% with any of our Urethane reducers.

Whats the spray temp of this reducer? I can't find it listed but it's quite important information.

Asked by: Travis
We apologize for the confusion. This would be a medium speed so ideal for between 70-80F.
