  • Duplicates the dark, charcoal gray appearance of zinc phosphate plating
  • Nearly flat 4-8% low gloss finish
  • 300°F temperature resistance. Great for under hood use

Eastwood Zinc Phosphate is designed to duplicate the look of the dark charcoal gray OEM plating used on many automotive components including tie rod ends, adjustment sleeves, center links, hood hinges, latches, linkages and brackets. Temperature resistant to 300°F. Covers up to 6 sq. ft. Very low, 4-8% gloss level.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Close! Better than I was expecting. I sandblasted first, then used quick 1 second sprays and kept it very dry. I was really happy with the results and will do more parts. The hood latch in my picture has been painted with Eastwood’s Zinc Phosphate paint, the hood hinges are 1966 original.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect gun-smithing application I was repairing a rifle for a client, and needed to repair rust spots on a "Parkerized" finish on the receiver. I treated the rust spots and reapplied bluing to protect the metal, but it did not have the desired Parkerized finish. After doing a LOT of research into the process, I decided to try out Eastwood's Zinc Phosphate Aerosol on the rifle. Although I had to experiment a little to get it just right, the results were fantastic, and the client was extremely pleased.

We have fabricated mill shoe 9 5/8" LTTT made up of AISI 4140 Grade material. We have to do zinc phosphate after final machining. Can we use this spray for this job? Kindly advise.

No.  True zinc phosphate involves a chemical reaction with the iron in the surface of the steel to make a thin compound layer.  This product is essentially an enamel (paint) which is a film adhering to the surface.

Can this be used to respect exterior trim around your automobile like around windshield moldings?

Yes.. this paint will work as it is UV stabilize and is a DTM (direct to metal) paint. be advised this is a charcoal grey very low gloss paint 4-8% gloss.
