Eastwood Zinc Phosphate Aerosol 12 oz is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 21.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product Actually used this on a beat-up, rusty, pitted rifle that had been in my closet for over 40 years. After prepping the metal, gentle light strokes gave this old rifle a parkerized-like finish! No drips, no spatter! Exceeded my expectations!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Flowmaster Mufflers Look Brand New! Since my mufflers are almost exactly behind the rear tires on my 2010 Mustang GT, road debris being kicked up had worn away the previous finish and the welds were starting to rust. After using a wire brush and steel wool, I was able to clean up and smooth out the rough spots and my Eastwood Zinc Phosphate worked perfect the first time to bring them back to their original look. I highly recommend this product for anyone repainting their Flowmaster Mufflers!

Would the zinc phosphate spray paint cover bolts and nuts and maintain the black color when nut is tightened on bolt? Would it stand up to higher temperatures on calipers? Would you suggest any other Eastwood products for my caliper hardware?

Asked by: Frank
I would highly recommend using the metal Blackening System: https://www.eastwood.com/metal-blackening-system.html

The last Zinc Phosphate spray I used when on very rough, not like the original smooth finish. Does this spray also go on rough? If so, what do you recommend to smooth it out without discoloring it/

Asked by: 6979Camaro
The product will lay as smooth as your metal is and as long as it is properly prepped. There is no way to smooth out the product once applied.
