FabBrake - CertiFlat DIY Press Brake Kit

Product Overview:

Description

How many times have you been in your shop and you simply want to bend a few parts for your project? Your options are untangling the torch, attempt to find 1 of the 7 hammers you have to pound out a piece on a table or better yet grab a loan, an electrician, then find floor space and buy a press brake. To me those all sound terrible, so here at CertiFlat, we have solved that problem with our FabBrake. The small foot print at 8”x 20” and the price is heavenly, this baby uses a 20 Ton stub jack and will handle all your needs at your shop. I mean seriously it bends up to 1/2 material in just seconds and think of the time savings if you have to bend more then 1 piece.

FabBrake features the following:

  • Designed and built in the U.S.A
  • Ultra-Strong 3/16", 3/8” & 1/2" Thick A36 HRPO Prime Steel
  • Our proprietary tab and slot design with tube lasering
  • Spring return top die
  • Uses 10 ton & 20 ton Stubby Bottle Jacks
  • Unique Round Bar bending design increases force.

Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Definitely gets used I bought this to use in my own garage for fabrication projects. So far it has worked flawlessly including bending several pieces of 3/8 thick plates. Beats using a vise and torch any day of the week.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Heavy and soft I purchased the assembled CertiFlat press brake. I purchased the Big Red Stubby 20 ton bottle jack, as prescribed by the instructions. First time use: 3x5 3/8ths mild steel plate, with a hole cut out of the center, making it easier to bend, seemingly. Used the inner small-diameter bars to bend the metal plate. Upon reaching approx 45° lateral bend on the plate, I noticed that the round bars were disfigured down and outboard on both bars. I removed both inner bars and put the bent plate over each bar in order to use the press to straighten both bars as good as possible. I succeeded in straightening the bars, but noticed a 3/4" wide dimple in the bending blade from pushing down on the rounded bend edge of the plate while straightening the bars. Cool looking brake, theoretically a good deal... can't bend plate as advertised. Suggest hardening the roll bars and blade. Otherwise, not worth the purchase
