Customer Reviews

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Some tips A couple of comments about this shroud. Yes the aluminum is thin but easy to cut and snaps in place to snug the fan against the radiator. The Derale fan was miswired on mine. If it does not suck air strongly, reverse the polarity and check again. The holes in the radiator should be covered by flaps. This will allow air to push past at high speed but close at low speed for better flow. These are not provided but should be easy to fab with sheet rubber and rivets.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not sure abot it! This shroud seems very thin and flimsy. I do not know if my sixteen inch fan is going to mount on the shrould very well. I will have to wait and see. Also, I do know how easy it is going be to polish it and the radiator.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Fits great but has issues... This shroud is pre-drilled for the fan they sell for this exact shroud...the holes are wrong and have to be re-drilled. No big deal, but they shouldn't sell the fan as an exact fit and not have it be right. The worst thing though is the protective plastic film that comes on the shroud-it took about an hour and a half to get it off the aluminum. I don't know if mine had gotten hot or was super old, but you couldn't peel it off-it had to be scraped off with your thumbnail-the whole thing. Ridiculous. It does fit the radiator well though, but I used some pop rivets to make it more secure since mine was a tight fit between the fan and a blower pulley on the engine and didn't have any room to spare.

What gage is the aluminum this part is made from? What is the purpose of the holes placed at at each of the four corners? Looks like they reduce efficiency of the fan. How does it mount to the radiator? How does it mount to the fan?
