Description
Feather Fill G2 is a high solids polyester primer surfacer that is VOC compliant. It is specially designed to hold down body repair areas and provide an excellent foundation for any paint system. It has excellent adhesion to fiberglass, SMC, body filler and wood surfaces.
- High Build Formula with minimal texture on surface
- Excellent adhesion to fiberglass, SMC and wood
- Fast Dry-to-Sand time reduces cycle time
- Waterborne compatible and VOC compliant

Many shops commonly apply self-etching primer to bare metal surfaces. But most polyester fillers and epoxy primers should not be applied directly over self-etching primers. So what do you apply when you need additional filling? Feather Fill G2 is the answer.

Great product
I've used this stuff for years. I use it on Black and other dark colors completely covering the vehicle and sanding off 95% or more but it leaves a wave free job. It does not lay down great but according to Evercoat it can be reduced up to 10% with acetone. I always seal before topcoat.

Questions & Answers
How much is needed to cover an average early 70s car?
It doesn't provide coverage in sq ft. Apply 2-3 medium wet coats allowing 5-10 minutes flash time between coats. Depending on the car as some are much larger than others.

I ordered thus product to primer a jeep frame which is bare metal and just read the directions that states you can't use on bare metal. So what primer should I be using for best results? What would happen if I sprayed this product on the bare metal?
For best adhesion, we recommend using an epoxy primer prior to shooting the Feather Fill. If this is applied to bare metal issues you can see adhesion issues.

I will be painting my mitary humvee . It has CARC paint camo pattern right now. Will this primer work for spraying directly over the CARC paint to fill and smoothe the surface to prepare for paint coat?
Yes, as long as you abrade the existing finish according to the instructions, you should be fine to apply this POlyester based primer over the top.

I,m rebuilding my IH 47 KB 2 pickup,What type of sealer primer can I use to prime it over winter as I wont paint till spring.Have bare metal, filler ares and original paint not sandblasted.
Since this is a polyester primer it is not recommended to leave this exposed as it can absorb moisture when left exposed. It would be best to sand it and then seal it with epoxy primer if you will be letting it sit for some time.

can laquer base be sprayed over this primer if not which would you recommend
Since this is a catalyzed primer you should not have to worry about any reaction with a top coat. Simply apply and let cure and then block sand getting ready for your next product.
