Many shops commonly apply self-etching primer to bare metal surfaces. But most polyester fillers and epoxy primers should not be applied directly over self-etching primers. So what do you apply when you need additional filling? Feather Fill G2 is the answer.
What's Included
1 Gallon of Black FeatherFill® 4 Tubes of activator
SUBSTRATES: Fiberglass SMC Rigid Plastics Body Filler or Putty Epoxy Primer Self-Etch Primer (extends dry-to-sand time)
NOTE: All bare metal areas larger than one inch in diameter must be treated with a high quality self-etch or epoxy primer.
MIXING: - Shake and stir thoroughly before mixing - Add one tube (.75 fl. oz.) liquid hardener to one quart of Feather Fill or 2% by weight and mix thoroughly - Pot Life is 35 minutes @ 75°F (24°C) - Do not leave product in the spray gun for longer than 45 minutes
APPLICATION: - Use a primer gun with a 1.7 to 2.2 fluid nozzle/air cap (Spray at paint gun manufacturer’s recommended air pressure) - Apply 2-3 medium wet coats allowing 5-10 minutes flash time between coats

Can this be applies and then sanded later like a month and then top coated with base and clear coat and foes the sur face have to be sanded be for you aply it thanKS
Asked by: Paul
Since this is a polyester primer it is not recommended to leave this exposed as it can absorb moisture when left exposed. It would be best to sand it and then seal it with epoxy primer if you will be letting it sit for some time.

Can this be applied over urethane primer? I media blasted my car and immediately primed it with epoxy and two coats of a 2k urethane to protect it while I do the body work. To get more build I then sprayed this product to blend in my body work. Am I ok?
