Adding surface details like diamond pleats to your sheet metal projects is a great way make them stand out. In this latest video, Jamey Jordan shows you two different methods to create these raised details using a bead roller.
The first process uses a single pass with the die over the guidelines on the material. This is what he calls the quick and easy method. It generates a subtle, shallow effect without a lot of work, perfect for beginners.
The second process he demonstrates involves making two passes per guideline, one on each side of the marks. This results in a deeper, more dramatic pattern on the surface. But it comes with a fair amount more work.
Watch the video to see how different the two processes are and how they result in uniquely different versions of diamond pleats on the finished product.
