Eastwood has released the latest evolution of its popular large-view L6700 welding helmet. The new L6700 LED helmet adds the convenience of a built-in LED headlight to help welders better see their work.
“The addition of a 100-lumen worklight enhances visibility when working in dimly lit spaces,” explains Eastwood product manager Cody B. “It lets you see your work while keeping the visor down between welds and grinds.”
The LED light has its own USB-rechargable lithium-ion battery that can last up to 11 hours on a full charge. The automatic self-darkening shield is powered by CR2032 batteries maintained by an integral PV (solar) panel.
Like the original Eastwood L6700 helmet, it features a large 3.9-inch by 2.6-inch viewing lens. It blocks both IR and UV radiation and employs True Color technology to render accurate color for optimal visibility. The headgear is 10-way adjustable and includes quick adjustment controls and an oversized rear support.
