New Product Overview – HotCoat 100kV Powder Coating System

Eastwood, the DIY automotive authority, has released its all-new HotCoat 100kV Powder Coating System. Drawing on more than 25 years in the DIY powder coating market, the 100kV delivers superior multi-coat coverage and durability.

A clean-sheet design, it’s capable of applying up to 100,000 volts of electrostatic charge. Its robust electronics package includes gel-packed circuits for greater precision and stability. A larger-diameter emitter results in improved powder charging compared to previous high-voltage HotCoat guns. This feature is essential to a consistent finish when applying multiple coats. A redesigned fan pattern ensures easier, more complete application of powder on complex shapes and surfaces.

A new control unit features separate controls for both current and voltage, giving you infinite adjustability over the application. Three distinct pneumatic controls let you dial in gun pressure and fluidizing flow. There is also a new ‘powder dosing’ function for when you need a little extra powder flow.

Convenient features include an ergonomically designed trigger to reduce hand fatigue and an integrated LED light that illuminates your work zone as you spray. A standard 2-lb powder hopper is included, giving you added capacity for larger products or making for quick, easy changeovers between colors. An optional 5-lb hopper is also available for larger runs.

The HotCoat 100kV Powder Coating System was recently recognized for excellence by PRI, the Performance Racing Industry organization. Its panel of industry professionals selected the 100kV for one of its Product Showcase Award Winners among hundreds of entrants.
