Eastwood has once again simplified powder coating for at-home DIY enthusiasts with its new PCS-250 3-piece powder coating kit. At the center of this kit is the popular Eastwood PCS-250 dual-voltage powder coating gun. A benchtop curing oven and powder booth round out the kit, letting users complete powder coating projects in smaller spaces.
Requiring only 120-volt power and low air airflow, the PCS-250 has been a perennial favorite for home powder coaters. It plugs into any standard household outlet and needs as little as 5 cfm of air. The dual-voltage feature allows for up to 25,000 volts of static charge for thorough coverage. Or it can deliver as little as 10,000 volts to overcome Faraday Effect on complex parts.
The Benchtop Powder Oven is a compact, dedicated curing oven that’s perfect for smaller projects and parts. It also runs on 120-volt household power but features top and bottom heating elements for even curing. It’s capable of heating up to 400º F and its built-in timer automatically shuts off for safety. Two racks are included with the oven for easy insertion and removal. The unit can also be laid on its end to vertically cure taller items.
Finally, this new kit includes Eastwood’s latest powder coating accessory, the Benchtop Powder Booth. This component is a game changer when it comes to keeping a clean shop space. When installed on a common 20-inch square electric box fan, it uses a micron air filter to collect powder overspray. The filter, when treated with the included filter tack spray, catches up to 95 percent of powder overspray. And the whole assembly folds up, taking up barely two inches more space than the fan alone.
