After you’ve been building and modifying cars for a while there’s some things that you become pretty particular about. It could be just how you like something to look or function, or just an extra step you take to save yourself headaches in the future. One of mine is an exhaust system that’s leak-free and sounds good. I’ve had bad luck over the years of header unions leaking over time. It seems either they crack at the welds or they just fit poorly and leave much to be desired when fitting the rest of the exhaust.

2014 Street Rodder Road Tour Car and Eastwood Summer Classic Date Announced
2014 marks the fourth year of the annual Eastwood Summer Classic show and shine. Each year we open our grounds for enthusiasts to come and show off their rides here at Eastwood Headquarters. It’s also become a tradition and an official stop for the east coast leg of the Street Rodder Road Tour. Each year Street Rodder Magazine has one of the top hot rod and custom shops in the country put together a new car for them to tour the country with. We’re honored that these shops use Eastwood tools and supplies to restore and customize the car each year and we’re always excited to see what they do!
Customer Car Spotlight- Rafael T. 1969 Chevy Camaro Restoration
We’re firm believers that the “Motorhead bug” runs in the family. Most times when talking with an enthusiast you’ll find someone in their family got them into cars at a young age. Roadkill Web Series Broadcasts LIVE Engine Swap at PRI Show
The guys from Hot Rod Magazine and the associated Roadkill Web Series never have a dull life. In fact, most anyone in the industry is jealous of these guys. They’re always filming some sort of adventure and filming it to make us all feel like we’re right there with them. Well this week at the PRI ( Performance Racing Industry) Trade Show in Indianapolis David Freiburger and Mike Finnegan are swapping out the blown big block in the “Crusher Chevrolet Camaro” in favor of a Fuel Injected Chevy LS7 engine that makes 700 Horsepower and a new 4L70 transmission to put the power down to the ground.
How to Install an Aftermarket Shifter on a Chevy V8 and TH350.
When building Project Pile House I’ve pretty much discarded all of the original mechanics and I’ve been building from the ground up. I’ve already installed a SBC (small block Chevy V8) engine and a TH350 automatic transmission in the truck. Next I needed to install a universal shifter that would work with the changes I’ve made and look “right”.
Project Pile House Late Summer Update

Since then I’ve been really busy and I have been slacking on my updates here. I have been posting regular updates on Instagram if you want to follow along feel free to check the #pilehouse tag or view the pics on your desktop HERE.
Moving Shop, A New Drivetrain and A Lot of Inspiration.
It’s been a while since I last updated everyone on the status of Project Pile House. Unfortunately things have been stalled a little because of some major construction going on inside of the Eastwood headquarters. About a month ago we started building a new photo/video studio and also a separate […]
