Product Overview:

Description

Seal that older gas tank to keep rust out of your vehicle's fuel system, and to seal minor leaks.

Wondering how to seal a gas tank? Our Gas Tank Sealer Kit rids the gas tank of damaging rust, and then seals it, so your fuel stays cleaner. Plus, the gas tank sealant seals minor leaks, so there's no need to search all around town (or pay) for a replacement gas tank for your restoration project. It's an inexpensive way to repair your gas tank.

Each Kit includes:

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything you need Make sure you have a fuel line that will not be blocked Great kit everything included. Make sure you get the bigger kit for anything over a few gallons. The coating gels up relatively quickly and you have to have enough to flow. You need at least 2 bottles for 8-10 gallon tank. Also if you have a n old Willys Jeep with spot welded siphon this will completely block it so have a plan for fuel supply afterward

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Prepare to do some hard work. Overall the instructions with this kit are well written. However when it comes to very Rusty tanks it's important that you do several Washings with the muriatic acid in order to get a clean Rusty surface. Additionally I would recommend that the etching product be more than one container. Of course the most difficult thing is being able to see into the tank when applying the sealer. You just don't have the ability to see everything that's going on in there. Good luck.

Questions & Answers

Can I use the kit for cycles for a classic mini fuel tank (6.6 gals)?

Asked by: Mike
For small tanks (1 to 5 gallons), use one pint (16 fl. oz.) Eastwood Gas Tank Sealer. For larger tanks, use 2 pints per 20 gallons of tank capacity. If the tank contains baffles, be sure to consider the increase in surface area. Do not coat tank if tank, sealer, or room temperature is below 60°F. Directions must be followed 100% to work properly, skipping any steps will result in negative outcome.
