Using a primer, such as the Eastwood HotCoat® Gray Primer Powder, can enhance adhesion and durability, especially on bare metal surfaces. BUT, primer is not required with this item.

What temperature is required? Is baking at 400F high enough? I’m currently using the gloss and it recommends starting at 450, then lower to 400 for 20 minutes. I would like to avoid 450 if possible.

You can run a 400 for a longer period of time then lower to 375 and hold for 20 minutes.

What temperature is this paint good up to? Can it be used on brake car calibers?

Our powder is good up to 250-300F max on a consistent basis. It would not be recommended for use on brake calipers.
