I'm unable to clean the inside of my frame as much as I'd like. I used hi press water&air, and a lot of junk comes out but if I stick my finger in the small openings in the frame, I still feel some loose grit. Will this frame coating seal over the grit?

Asked by: John
Yes, the Internal Frame Coating will seal over this as long as the surface is thoroughly dried first. I would recommend a second coat to ensure everything is fully coated.

Applied this to interior of steel fitness equipment. I was sloppy and got some of the Eastwood product on the black textured powder coated exterior. Best way to remove those spots without damaging the powder coating? Thanks!!

Unfortunately, this is not going to be easily removed with anything with will not damage that powder coating. If I would recommend anything it would be possibly trying some acetone.

I sprayed a single coat into the chassis of my Chevy Astro. Box suggests apply as many coats as possible, but no where does it list how long one must wait before spraying another coat. Must it be sprayed within 24hrs, before it's fully cured, or after?

Asked by: FredH
You are instructed to apply as many coats as necessary to insure complete coverage. Usually two coats will be sufficient with one hour allowed between each coat. Allow 6-8 hours drying time after the last coat if you are going to top coat. It is recomended to spray additional coats with in 6 to 8 hours of the first coat.

whats the shelf life of a can of internal frame coat? I bought some cans 4 years ago, never used them, but now i would like too ....

I have what appear to be tiny rust bubbles in the paint around the rear wheel well on my F 150. The body shop said its from where the inner wheel well and outer side panel come together. should I use internal frame coating to get into the seam?

Asked by: Bikerdad63
Since the rust is coming from a weld seam the Internal Frame coating will only be a temporary fix. You need to cut out a section of the bed side to allow you to clean up the rust and the weld in a new patch.

For hard to reach areas such as internal body cavities that are near impossible to sandblast or paint that are heavily rusted is it better to use rust encapsulator or internal frame coating?

Asked by: Harry07
I like this internal frame coating best for the first coat as it has very low surface tension and readily flows into the smallest cracks and joints. Spraying the encapsulator as a second coat is a favorite of mine as it covers with a slightly thicker coating and is less expensive to use in a given area. The spray nozzle provided with the frame coating is designed for only certain spray cans. the cap and tube CAN BE modified. the tube can be inserted into most other style caps by simply drilling an appropriate hole in the alternate cap.

will this withstand 400 degrees for powder coat

Asked by: Jet56
This product must be in direct contact with metal to convert and protect. Any that oversprays existing paint will simply act as a topcoat of paint. That means that there is no ongoing protection by chemical process in areas where the metal is already painted prior to application of this product.

While this product could be topcoated it really isn't designed for such areas. This is best used inside areas. Our rust encapsulator is a better option to spot in areas on a frame.
