Description

Lizard Skin Ceramic Insulation is an easy to apply effective heat insulating coating for virtually any metal surface. Withstands -45 to 500 degrees F. This black water-based coating is formulated with high-grade acrylic binders & air filled particles. Proven aerospace technology dramatically reduces surface temperature by 20-25 degrees F. Cleans up with soap & water. Easier to apply in contoured areas than peel and stick products. Covers 20-25 sq ft. at 0.040 (40mils /1 mm) thickness dry. May be used over 21201 Lizard Skin Sound Control for maximum sound control and insulation performance.

Can you spray lizardskin over bed liner?

"No, LizardSkin should not be placed on top of a bed liner. While LizardSkin is very durable, it is not as hard as the liner products. Either coating can be applied PRIOR to application of a bed liner in certain applications but ensure that the LizardSkin is completely cured first (24-48 hours)."

Yes, this can be applied to plastic. The surface will need to be scuffed first as well as wiped down to remove and residue left behind prior to applying.

It's strongly recommended to spray the product on, not roll or brush. However, small applications of less than 1 square foot can be brushed on.

To help with exhaust heat in the cab of my cherokee does it matter if it is sprayed inside the cab or on the underbody? Does it have any sound deadening ability?

LizardSkin offers a heat version and a sound deadening version. If using both, the sound version is applied first. Generally, LizardSkin is applied to the inside of a vehicle.
