Questions & Answers

Tried this on 3/4" hole. Bending the material can be a challenge as it kept cracking while trying to put through the hole. Any other more flexible material?

Asked by: Gary
Unfortunately, at this time this is the only hole repair kit with material we offer other than a resin kit such as this: https://www.eastwood.com/usc-fiberglass-repair-kit-cloth.html

How long can I expect this repair to last? Are we talking months or years?

Asked by: JoeinNC
The amount of time this last would have too many variables to get you an exact time.

Can you use the Urethane by itself to repair pin holesin sheet metal, and can you get a suplly of the urethane part only in addition to the kit with the backing material

Asked by: TheFalcro
Technically yes, the Urethane could be used alone but it works best as a kit. We only sell this as a whole kit and do not have the Urethane available separately.

Hello, I have holes in the A-pillar where the grab handle is fastened. I'd like to fill these holes and embed threaded nuts so that the grab handle could be re-mounted. Could this product do the job?

Asked by: barney
Unfortunately that you are going to have the stress on the handle pulling around bodyweight, your best way to repair this would be to weld in new metal, then add the countersunk nuts during that process.

i have a small bullet hole in drivers door less than 2 inches in diameter including rust.would this be something a novice like me could do? What would I do after this?

Asked by: karen
This kit will do up to a 2 inch hole, so as long as your hole in less then 2 inches you should be good.
