If I use these in the door jambs to fix pdr drill holes on the doors and jambs how well will that hold up with the opening and closing of the doors?  I’m worried about the bondo cracking with repeated opening and shutting.

Asked by: Chris
The longevity of this product comes down to the prep. With proper prep the two part catalyzed urethane will be extremely durable.

Can this be used to fill holes in a truck bed that are up to 1-1/2".  Will the patch push through if pressure is put directly on it?

Asked by: Dave
This kit will repair holes up to 2 inches. Once the patch is cured you will simply apply body filler to smooth the surface.

will this product fix a hole in a gas tank

Unfortunately the adhesive and backer are not designed to be in constant contact with fuel. We would not recommend this kit for fixing a fuel tank.

Can it be used to patch a small hole in a cars oil pan

Asked by: Jonj
We have never tested this product to be submerged in oil. We would not be able to comment on durability if exposed to oil constantly.

I need to patch a small hole on my aluminum boat, about 1/4" diam. Is this waterproof and can be used on a boat?

Asked by: neeko
While this kit will certainly fill up to a 2 inch diameter hole we have not tested for the ability to withstand any pressure from water. The design of this product is to simply create a strong backer for body filler on a vehicle panel.

Hi, The front of my 82 mini is like swiss cheese. Will I able to fill the current holes and then redrill into the to attach the grill 3/16 using self tapping screws?

Asked by: mini01
These are designed to make backers for body filler and not for screws to be attached to. Your best bet would be to section in a new piece of metal with our No Weld panel replacement kit.

Can the backing sheets be shaped by bending, so that a non-flat panel could be patched? Can you cup or curl the material?

Asked by: hominid
These patch panels are not designed to be curled or cupped much. They have some flexibility to conform to the back of a panel.

How do you deal with a rocker panel with an undercoating on the back side.

Undercoating on the back side would have to be removed around the repair.

MY DRIVER SIDE DOOR WAS SHOT WIT AN AK47, WILL THIS WORK ON THAT SIZE HOLE.

Asked by: CASSY
a 7.62mm projectile fired from a commonly available AK variant will produce a hole that is slightly larger than the bullet itself due to its high velocity. Even accounting for a generous expansion, the hole will still only be approximately 5/16", which is well within the 3" x 3" patch included in the kit. Another consideration will be the deformation caused by the high velocity impact. I'd suggest taking a look at our Fairmount hammers and dollies which will help you to reform the metal before using the kit.

I have (6) small (3/16" dia.) holes that I would like to fill/repair. I have access to the back of the holes, would I need to use the nylon pins or can I just place the backer sheets on the back of the holes?

Asked by: 65olds442
If you have access to the back of the holes and can apply even pressure to the backer sheet as the adhesive cures, you would not need to use the pins.
