The control panel is easy to use and is designed for operator convenience. The wide bed ways are made of stabilized cast iron, ground and hardened for a lifetime of use. The universal gear box delivers a broad range of feed and thread selections and each machine can do both inch and metric threads. All the gears are hardened and the shafts turn on anti-friction bearings. All Palmgren lathes are built and inspected to the DIN 8606 toolmakers precision lathe standard assuring accuracy and consistent performance.
