Patch panel kitPlenty of material to do all the panels needed on my car. Much cheaper than going to the metal shop in sun land to get the right size steal. The aluminized steal is great to weld and won’t rust.

when using these as a patch panel, should they be painted and if so, what kind of primer and paint should be used?

Yes, Eastwood Patch Panel Kit 20 ga Aluminized Steel panels should be Epoxy Primed and painted after installation to prevent corrosion and ensure a long-lasting repair—even though they’re aluminized.

Could these be used to replace rusty rocker panels on a car. Chevy cobalt to be exact.
Asked by: Mikey
This is a Patch panel kit. You can certainly use these pieces of sheet metal for the rocker panel parts that are rusty on the car. Just shape them to conform to the areas of the rockers that need to be replaced.

Question, if these are "steel" panels, why are they not magnetic? I want to use this for an internal cowl patch (behind the fender) where i do not have access to the inside to hold in place. I usually use my welding magnet to hold the piece in place.
Asked by: Garrett
The panels themselves are not magnetic, but you can certainly stick a magnet to them. There is a aluminized coating on the panels so a strong magnet might be needed.
