Good chunk o' compound
Works well on bakelite which is what I bought it for. I liked the older packaging from years ago when the compounds came in a cardboard tube.

I have what may be the same product, Eastwood 13138. It is pretty old, at least 10 years, and seems dry. How long does this product last?
Buffing bars like this have a pretty extensive shelf life. I've had people use them 10+ years after purchase. Over time they will start to dry out and become less pliable. What you can do is place the bar in a zip lock bag and place it in a bowl of hot tap water. It will help soften things back up for you.

What type of buffing compound do you use on Kirnite?
We strictly test for Automotive use only. We typically do not work with this sort of material but out of what we offer the Blue Plastic compound would probably be the best choice.

Could I use this to polish the inside of a fiber glass ice chest?
This is a finishing compound for plastics. We do not offer any compounds for fiber glass.
