Description
POR-15® is a high-tech, high performance rust-preventive coating designed for application directly on rusted or seasoned metal surfaces. It dries to an incredible rock-hard, non-porous finish that won't chip, crack, or peel, and it prevents rust from recurring by protecting metal from further exposure to moisture. Use it to coat rusty frames, floor pans, farm equipment, marine equipment, or even a heavily corroded battery tray. POR-15® is sensitive to UV light (sun) and must be top coated for prolonged exposure to sunlight. Top coating is not required for areas not exposed to sunlight.

One quart covers about 96 square feet at one coat Step 1- Degrease with Eastwood's PRE or POR-15 Marine Clean Step 2- Neutralize and etch the surface with Fast Etch or Metal Ready Step 3- Coat surface with POR 15, allow to cure Step 4 Topcoat with any one of the many Eastwood Paints and coatings

The Only Way to Go
I have used this product in the past with great success, have no doubt the latest project will turn out great. Did I mention this is for a 65-foot long pipe bridge we are building for a water main creek crossing. I have total confidence in how it will turn out, and hold up over the long term.

what will happen to this product if it is not topcoated and is exposed to sunlight?
It will fade out and possibly crack off.
