Description

POR-15 High Build Primer provides sandable and buildable coating that can be applied over cured POR-15 Rust Preventive Coating and all POR-15 topcoats to enable quick refinishing and recoating of these products. POR-15 High Build Primer is a single component formula that fills in minor Imperfections. POR-15 High Build Primer adheres well to steel, aluminum, stainless steel, brass, and other primed and painted surfaces.

We developed this special "interlocking" primer after many requests from customers who wanted a coating with special adhesion characteristics that make it perfect for most painted surfaces, especially POR-15 Rust Preventive Coating.

POR-15 High Build Primer is highly resistant to penetrating topcoats, like lacquers, enamels, and two-component finishes. It sands very smoothly, as well. Try some on your next project.

AFTER PAINT HAS BEEN APLIED OVER THIS PRIMER AND A MONTH LATER WILL YOU BEABLE TO SEE THAT THE PRIMER HAS SRUNK THANKS

Can this primer be applied to a fiberglass RV?

I have a car with two coats of paint, original plus a repaint by Maaco. The Maaco paint us starting to peel in several places after about 10 years. I'd like to repaint once again. To prep for painting can I use the POR 15 High Build to build back up?

I would strip the paint down to original primer and Eastwood epoxy coat or use a sealer. You will no doubt get lifting if you just DA it with 320/ 400 and use a sealer.

What is the shelf life of this primer

The manufacturer states: "Store materials in a temperature-controlled environment, between 45F and 95F and out of direct sunlight. Two-year shelf life is expected for products stored under these conditions".
