Description

POR-15 High Build Primer provides sandable and buildable coating that can be applied over cured POR-15 Rust Preventive Coating and all POR-15 topcoats to enable quick refinishing and recoating of these products. POR-15 High Build Primer is a single component formula that fills in minor Imperfections. POR-15 High Build Primer adheres well to steel, aluminum, stainless steel, brass, and other primed and painted surfaces.

We developed this special "interlocking" primer after many requests from customers who wanted a coating with special adhesion characteristics that make it perfect for most painted surfaces, especially POR-15 Rust Preventive Coating.

POR-15 High Build Primer is highly resistant to penetrating topcoats, like lacquers, enamels, and two-component finishes. It sands very smoothly, as well. Try some on your next project.

Can this be applied over gelcoat and a few exposed fiberglass areas?

Excellent adhesion Very high fill Superior solvent resistance Fast dry to sand Sprayable Premium high build formulation is a polyester primer-surfacer which can be used on fiberglass, aluminum and properly prepared steel. Eliminator HB has excellent adhesion, very high fill and superior solvent resistance when properly cured. On fiberglass it replaces damaged gel coat. This tough and durable coating resists stone chipping and abrasion and will fill 36 grit grinder marks in 2 to 3 coats. Cured primer in non-shrinking and compatible all automotive topcoats and meets all VOC regulations. 1 gallon includes 4oz liquid hardener.

What reducer and ratio should be used?

"This Primer may be thinned up to 10% with POR-15 Solvent (10 parts Primer to 1 part Solvent). Thinning may not be required if primer is to be brushed on." Per manufacturer's directions.
