Perfect Your Powder Coating
Powder coating is a great way to create a durable finish on many projects, but it is considerably different than traditional painting. Because electric charge is applied to the powdered paint, one unique challenge is a phenomenon called the Faraday effect. Sometimes also known as the Faraday Cage effect […]
With its exceptional corrosion and chip resistance, powder coating delivers a durable, long-lasting finish for metal parts, chassis components, engine bays, full-vehicle frames, and other projects. In 1997, Eastwood launched HotCoat®, the original DIY powder coating system that allowed hobbyists and amateur refinishers to powder coat at home. Today, Eastwood now offers a full lineup of powder coating supplies to ensure professional-grade results from beginner to pro.
The heart of any powder coating system is the powder coating gun, with models ranging from low-voltage units for crafts and small projects to high-voltage guns that are made for laying down multiple layers with ease. Dual-voltage powder guns allow you to toggle between lower voltage for detail pieces and higher voltage for broad surfaces, all on standard 120 V power. These guns simplify applying powder efficiently for less overspray, better adhesion and rugged finishes that routinely outperform traditional paint when it comes to chipping, scratching and fading.
Eastwood’s extensive palette of high-quality, chemical-resistant and heat-resistant powders are engineered to stand up to heavy-duty use. The selection includes gloss powder, low-gloss and satin powder, flat-finish powder, as well as metallic and translucent shades.
Beyond powder coating gun and powder materials, Eastwood stocks all the unique curing and masking accessories required to do the job right. Items like benchtop powder coating ovens, racks and masking kits ensure a proper cure cycle and clean finish. If you are powder coating larger items, we also carry industrial-size walk-in curing ovens.
Whether you’re coating small brackets or larger assemblies, Eastwood supports the workflow from prep to finish.
