Can I use this for lead bullets?

Asked by: Leon
The Eastwood HotCoat Powder Coat Specialty Color Sample Kit is not explicitly mentioned in my knowledge base as being used for coating lead bullets. However, a similar product, the Eastwood HotCoat Powder 6-Piece Standard Color Sampler, has been successfully used by a customer for wet (acetone) coating onto cast lead bullets, followed by baking at 400°F. The customer noted consistent quality among the colors and highlighted the red and clear coat options as favorites . If you are considering the Specialty Color Sample Kit for a similar application, it may work, but there is no direct confirmation in the provided context.

Can I dip my product into the powder paint and will it stick if I preheat my product? ( lead jig )

Asked by: Ken J
You'll need to have a electrical charge for the powder to stick to the surface, that's why powder coating gun have a electrical component incorporated in them. .

Is there a difference between powders that can be cured by heat or uv lights?

Asked by: bob27
All of our powders can be cured in an oven or by an Infrared/ UV light. Curing in an oven will typically yield better and more consistent results though.

There is not a difference in general. Our original powder colors we called "Hotcoat" our newer colors do not have this same name.
