Can I use 36 grit Aluminum Oxide in this blaster? I have read in a couple of others that they want no greater than 60. Hopefully, that doesn't apply to this one.

Asked by: headstonemkr
I would not use anything more coarse than a 60 grit in this unit.

I am using your 150 pound sand blaster it is filled with very fine, dry, clean sand and it seems to be getting stuck every few minutes of use. I have about 120PSI feeding the pressure side. The nozzle is like new and I strained the sand.

Asked by: Sargene
We do not recommend using sand in any media blasters, as it is harmful to your health. In regards to your issue, there are several things that need to be checked when blasters do not flow media consistently. 1 - Does your compressor meet the minimum CFM requirements for the blaster? 2 - Assuming #1 is yes, is your air supply clean and dry? It is critical to have clean dry air, as moisture can clump the media. 3 - Has the media been sifted before loading into the machine. There can be larger particles in the media that can clog the nozzle.
