Is this suitable for automotive paint removal?
This tool will work to remove paint. I would recommend 80 grit sandpaper. It will take some time. Just be sure that you move the sander around while sanding, as this will build up heat in your panel.

Can I use this for wet sanding
As long as you do not submerge the sander there would be no reason you couldn't wet sand with this unit. You would have to convert to hook and loop paper.

Will the 6" hook and loop backup pad work with this palm sander?
Yes, you can use any standard DA sander backing pad with this sander.
