Customer Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I used this on a car afew years ago to install a hood scoop. I was bonding a Fiberglass scoop to a metal hood. The scoop is still on the hood 3 years later after some 110 MPH trips down the drag strip.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good product! I recently bought this product with some doubt about it's effectiveness, but after using it for quarter panel repairs I'm truly sold on it. The air temperature in my shop was about 60 degrees so I placed a portable electric heater close to the sheet metal parts to warm them and the adhesive up. The adhesive cured perfectly with no loss of holding strength. I had no trouble with the tips and no mess to clean up either.

If installing structural braces and supports-they really should be welded. This can be used in addition to welding but should not be used as the sole bonding option.

Should the 2 panel's be butted together or played over each other?

Asked by: Mudwasp72
When using Eastwood Panel adhesive (31087) the panels to be bonded need to be overlapped approximately 3/8" to 1/2" to provide a sufficient amount of surface area to insure a strong and permanent bond. We recommend using a flanging tool such as Eastwood Panel flanger (31092) to create a flange along the panel edge that is the proper depth for panel bonding.

Will this product work for floor panel replacement?

Asked by: Billy
This is not intended for structural panel use. Floor panels, especially on a unitized body are an important structural component of a vehicle body. Patching very small areas would be alright but not complete sections.
