Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2 months running fine to me? I don't know what this guy bought below me, but I mounted it fine. Decant went in fine about 1/4 in the cup, I think I used? Plus a paper towel and a microwave means you basically have a lifetime supply of decant. Also I know the threads on both containers are machined fine because I have done this a few times in two months with scrutiny. But you don't need to be Hercules or John Henry to do it. And don't mount it like John Wayne either. Well the filter traps debris like it should. I don't know about the .01 micron, but it paints, clear coat, metal flake , any primer, latex, any base coat, I've all ready used. Plus it runs a 20 ton press, and a Woodward fab tube bender fine as well? I haven't tried the rivet gun or paint shaker, but they take even less than the rest, so I am sure it will be fine. I just blow off the filter cartridge sometimes but it's still far from dirty or discolored yet. The water drain is fine too? It usually evaporates before I can empty because I have other drainage under the compressor and a 50 foot line before it connects. On the petcock valve, it only goes a qtr.to work. So don't be a Gilligan and spin it like a pin wheel, and it should last a long time. turn it a qtr. turn like a acetylene tank. Don't abuse it and its fine. I don't know why this bad review below But it's only been a little over two months for me.Maybe he just got a bad one banged around in shipping? But mine came to Ohio fine? Also harbor freight sells 400, O rings for 2 dollars if it's all that pal? So I'm satisfied enough to buy another when they go back on sale. (Hint Hint Eastwood).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looking forward to dry, clean air! I have installed it and my 4-star rating is based on the ease of installation and appearance of quality. I look forward to using it to do light bodywork and painting.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid and reliable. I didn't experience the leak between both sections when I installed mine. That being said, I spent a little more than I anticipated on the fittings to get this to hook up to a 3/8 standard compressor outlet. You typically don't want this immediately after the air outlet; I don't have experience plumbing for air compressors but a brief youtube video later paired with a trip to a lowes shopping trip later (for copper tubing/fittings) and harbor freight (for the lead-in hoses), I was up and running. One thing I would suggest to Eastwood, is to possible sell little kits for guys to just whip this together, I would have happily spent another 20-30 more bucks to just get a package with all the fittings I would have needed to set this up, rather than the couple trips to two different stores to pick up ad-hoc pieces. This may not be a problem for those of you who are experienced, and this is just one humble dude's words/review. Oh yeah, the air is dry and allows me to shoot decent paint without much restriction.

Questions & Answers

You have a short video on your page with the Rockwell Dryer Systems. On the video he says that all Rockwell systems come with a regulator. I don't see one on this model, though. Am I missing something?

Asked by: Mark D
In that video, Scott is referring to the regulator systems as he says. That is to be used in conjunction with the 31726, or another type of regulator system.

I can't hook this up to my airline or compressor. It came with no adapter nor did the instructions tell me what adapter I need to make it fit my airlines? It has a threaded port that looks like 9/16 fine thread but I wouldn't know. My fittings are for 1/4

Asked by: Master Machinist
As stated this unit has 3/8NPT inlet and outlet. We do not sell adapters so you will need to purchase one locally to go from 3/8 to the size you have existing.

Can this be fitted directly to my compressor or does it need to be some distance away?

Asked by: Dc23
ideally you want 20-25 feet of line between this and your compressor.
