Better then New!!
I replaced my bench seat with black buckets on my 73 Charger and the front black seats did not match the black and silver rear seat. I used three can of the SEM Black spray paint and it worked perfect, the color matched my buckets and the finish was very durable!

became a believer
I was always skeptical about using any type of vinyl dye on interior parts. I always bought new door panels and interior trim parts to have the color I wanted.
If you prepare the surfaces and take your time applying the color and finishing it off with the clear coat the pieces you dyed come out looking exactly like brand new parts. This product will save you 100s of dollars when you restore your interior. I'm a believer

Questions & Answers
I have a brand new leather wrapped steering wheel for my 79 corvette. It is black but looks like a dark grey. I need it to be black like the horn and interior. Will this product work well on new leather and how long will it last?
Yes, this would work great. Just be sure to use a Leather prep such as this before applying this coating: https://www.eastwood.com/sem-plastic-and-leather-prep-aerosol.html. As far as how long this would last- there are too many variables that would play in to advise on this.

Will this work on an interior cardboard type firewall pad? This is for a '48 Olds that I need to change from brown to black
Unfortunately this product has never been tested on a cardboard material. The fear would be the cardboard softening after the paint has applied, not to mention it would absorb paint making it take many more coats.

is this the best product for refreshing black vinyl headrests, 71 Chevelle? If not, what do you recommend?
The SEM interior paint is a great option to refresh your interior pieces.
