Color Coat™ is a specialty flexible coating formulated to restore or change the color of most vinyl surfaces, flexible and rigid plastics, carpet and velour. Color Coat is not a dye, but a fade resistant flexible and permanent coating.
OEM Recommended
Refinish vehicle interiors and motorcycle seats
Enhance automotive carpet and velour
Superior adhesion, flexibility, and hiding
Will not crack
Quick drying and simple to use
Renew or change the color of vinyl, leather, and plastic automotive interior and vinyl tops. Produces a coating that is flexible enough for seats. Abrasion and UV resistant enough for convertible and vinyl tops. Can even be used on carpets to freshen up the existing shade. Colors shown are approximate.
For best results, use when can is 70°F. Clean surface with warm soap and water. Ensure surface is dry before painting. Hold can approximately 6-8†from the surface to be coated. Apply light “mist†coats allowing 5-10 minutes between coats. Several thin coats give a better finish than one heavy coat. Carpet and Velour: Spray one light mist coat and immediately brush in all all directions using a nylon bristle brush. Apply a second light mist coat and brush again.

Great ProductI am using this spray to dye almost all the interior pieces in a truck build. The color matches my seats perfectly. The spray goes on very nice and is forgiving if you get heavy handed like me. I sprayed it on a rubber e-brake cover and it doesn't crack. The dye bonds with it. Great product.

Wish I tried this a long time ago.I never knew it could be so easy to change the color of my interior. This paint worked great on my 48 year old interior pieces. My sunvisor tuned out especially well. They look new and still feel soft and flexible.

Excellent ProductI recently purchased a 1972 Chevy Caprice Estate Wagon that needed some interior restoration.
This was a one owner Florida car that obviously has been exposed to years of sun and internal heating.
I purchased the Shadow Blue to redo the door panels and other plastic trim. The coverage is excellent, color match was perfect, drying time is exceptionally quick and the overall finished appearance is excellent.
I highly recommend this product.
Will this work to change the color of rubber floor mats?
Asked by: Harold
It will not. This is not intended for use on rubber surfaces.

Can this be used on ABS plastic? If a primer is needed, what kind works best with this product? Thanks!
Asked by: RickyToyota
This can be used on ABS plastic, we recommend using a plastic adhesion promoter for best results.

What are the sprays I need to paint the interior can u tell me step one to 3 on the spray number
Asked by: Juan0211
Step one would be to clean with a mild dish soap and a gray scuff pad. Then allow it to fully dry and apply the Vinyl and Leather Prep: https://www.eastwood.com/sem-plastic-and-leather-prep-aerosol-11-25-net.html Then you can spray on your color coat of paint.

Can this be used on metal (steel) surfaces like a steering column? Is a promoter required, which one? Thanks.
Asked by: MarkS60
We have used this before on metal surfaces. A primer is recommended first to ensure a long lasting bond.
