Color Coat™ is a specialty flexible coating formulated to restore or change the color of most vinyl surfaces, flexible and rigid plastics, carpet and velour. Color Coat is not a dye, but a fade resistant flexible and permanent coating.
OEM Recommended
Refinish vehicle interiors and motorcycle seats
Enhance automotive carpet and velour
Superior adhesion, flexibility, and hiding
Will not crack
Quick drying and simple to use
Renew or change the color of vinyl, leather, and plastic automotive interior and vinyl tops. Produces a coating that is flexible enough for seats. Abrasion and UV resistant enough for convertible and vinyl tops. Can even be used on carpets to freshen up the existing shade. Colors shown are approximate.
For best results, use when can is 70°F. Clean surface with warm soap and water. Ensure surface is dry before painting. Hold can approximately 6-8†from the surface to be coated. Apply light “mist†coats allowing 5-10 minutes between coats. Several thin coats give a better finish than one heavy coat. Carpet and Velour: Spray one light mist coat and immediately brush in all all directions using a nylon bristle brush. Apply a second light mist coat and brush again.

Made the seats look almost new again.2 1/2 cans later , the 2 front bucket seats and the rear seat in the 90 Mustang GT look 100 % better. The seats were already white, just showing age but no rips. Just used a scotchbrite "red" pad and hot/soapy water and cleaned thoroughly, then wax and grease remover, wiped with a dry cloth. Then thin coats and a final medium coat. total of 3-4 coats for coverage. No disappointments so far.

PositiveI just recently used this product to recolor the rear seat in my 1968 Satellite. I changed the color from blue to this white. One can per top and one for the bottom seat were needed, however I was covering a dark color. I also used the adhesion promoter that Eastwood offers for this project as I wanted every opportunity for succes. Coverage and adhesion are very good. The finish is smooth and pliable. Time will tell if it holds up to someones rear sliding across the seat, but first impressions are very positve.
This product is designed to coat vinyl, leather, and plastic automotive interior and vinyl tops. So depending on the material of your headliner, this should work for certain applications.

Do you use a primer with the white Interior paint when painting a seat?

You would want to first use either the Plastic and leather prep:http://www.eastwood.com/vinylcoat-plastic-prep-aerosol-11-25-net.html or the vinyl prep:http://www.eastwood.com/vinyl-prep-aerosol-14-09-net.html.
