Don't by new trim. Paint it with trim black insteadThe Trim Black paint is a perfect match for black metal trim pieces and it does not chip off as other paint that I have tried. Painted the metal grill on the hood and trim around the windows on my Porsche and the pieces still look like new 2 years later.

You need this!This is one of those little but important items that makes your car look finally finished. It works as advertised, and matches factory finishes. Make you wiper arms, trim panels, etc. look new again; quickly and easily. Great value for the price.
Is the paint chip resistant when sprayed over nuts and bolts and then nuts and bolts removed

This does have pretty good durability but for a scenario as described a Self Etching primer and 2k paint like 2K Chassis Black would be best.

Can this be used to paint roof rails on SUV? Is this sold in semi or gloss?

Yes the SEM Trim Paint(10023Z) will work well for painting your roof rails as it is a direct to metal (DTM) paint that has great bond strength when applied to a properly prepared surface. It is a satin finish only that matches the original OEM appearance.

Does this paint have a texture to it, I need to paint the mirror housing on my F 150. I sanded out the gouges and now I need to retexture it.

Unfortunately this product doesn't have a texture. We do have textured Rust Encapsulator. While you're not painting a rusted surface it could still be utilized for it's textured properties. Just make sure to use an adhesion promoter first on the raw plastic.

Will vinyl wrap stick to this after it is applied? I want to use this for black parts of a polymer bumper that will also have other parts wrapped, but wondering if I should paint the whole thing or just the parts I want black.

Unfortunately, we do not have experience with wraps in this application. If it were my project, I'd paint only the areas you want black.

Can this be used to paint part or all of a '17 Dodge Challenger hood/trunk that has a black satin finish? Any other prep necessary?

Technically it could be used, but I would recommend a 2K product like our 2K AeroSpray Satin Black as this will provide a much more durable finish on the exterior hood and trunk areas. https://www.eastwood.com/2k-aero-spray-rat-rod-satin-black-47968.html
Prep for the 2K AeroSpray would be the same as painting a vehicle. Assuming the existing finish is in good shape, clean the surface to remove wax/dirt with a product like PRE, scuff sand up to 600 grit clean again with PRE and apply.
