Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great! Passed my test! Just bought this 3 days ago. Showed up today! I quickly tested the tip to see if it fit my lincoln pro-135 with gas (I took a gamble) but it fits like a glove! threw some sheet metal together (22g) and tried it. Got nice solid spot welds and passed my hammer and pull apart test. Metal ripped around welds like it's supposed to.

Date published: 2018-05-02
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent I purchased for use on my Lincoln MiG 100 Weldpak, it works very well on 16 and 18 guage mild steel, I drill a 3/16” hole through top piece, set gas at 10, wire at 4 3/4 and C for amps, clamp pieces together, cut .030 wire flush with nozzle, center on hole and trigger for 1 plus seconds, instant weld done! I am sure it will do the same job on thinner mild steel with different settings from above info., “practice makes perfect”

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good tool I have the MIG 250 which takes a different style torch adapter and it was my fault that I didn't pay attention to that. However the pliers are nice and can still be used along with the MIG 250 spot weld adapters.
Date published: 2017-07-31
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked Perfectly Bought the spot welder kit and even though I did not use the pliers for this application, the tip worked perfectly. I watched the two videos on the product, especially the Eastwood Live video that demonstrated how to use it and the first time, with no practice, I did 12 nearly perfect spot welds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple Genius Great item for the beginner as keeping space is critical to good welds. This does the trick.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from work good for spot weld try it on metal for car work good. I only try it 20 times, hope it last. I have allot of repair panel to install
Date published: 2016-01-18
Rated 5 out of 5 by from good I put this to the test, it works very good under perfect condition, clean medal, good ground, Lincoln 180 220v, the medal has to have a tight fit, meaning clamped together, it is not forgiving will not weld the slightest gap they recommend a set of pliers for spot welding, but in the real world we are not always welding an inch wide strip of medal and for us body guys never, however I did punch holes in a piece and use it as a plug weld and it did very well,, would I recommend this product, YES, it does what it says it will do, we’ll see more when I’m tryin to spot weld my floor broads in, I’m giving this a B+ so far
Date published: 2016-01-07
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tip Works great as it should, also is nice accompanied with the clamp Eastwood sells
Date published: 2016-01-01
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Eastwood MIG Spot Weld Kit I just tried the kit and it worked great. I spot welded 2 18G Gauge sheet metal together. I have a Lincoln welder and set it up per the instructions and the weld was perfect. Good penetration with about a 3/16 melted spot on the back side. I have not tried the spot welder with a drilled hole on one side yet. Provided you set the welder up correctly it should perform just as well in that mode.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spot weld nozzle I got this for blind welding, wished I would have had this 30 years ago. Now no more burn through on blind welds. Think this would be a really great tip for beginners learning the importance of tip distance..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tip I bought the eastwood mig 135, and the spot weld tip, I had never welded before, I was working on my 64 c10 door panels, drilled out the spot welds, use the tip how it was instructed and it worked awesome, I then bought the whole eastwood welding set, waiting for it to arrive now.
Date published: 2015-03-18
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nozzle is as advertised. This unit work perfectly. After a little practice I was welding spot welds with no problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Such a simple idea to a perfected tool I bought this tool not for spot welding as such, but to use it riveting panels, inserting rivnuts etc. Damm wish I had thought of it, might buy another one it's that good.
Date published: 2014-11-14
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Happy with this I bought this in September to make my life easier in replacing the full rockers on both sides of my '72MGB-GT. I also bought the MIG135, although I also have a Clarke 100E with the appropriate Tweco style torch. The tool works just like they show in the video and for me has absolutely been worth the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from works great I bought this and it fit my old Clark welder and it does great plug welds a leaves less weld to grind off would buy another thanks
Date published: 2014-04-08
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Good Product! Works great with my Thermal-Arc Fabricator 131 welder, but I wish I had a 175 so I didn't need to punch holes in the top panel.... Welds look great as long as you make sure the wire hits right in the center of the hole.

I have a 220V Chicago Electric mig/flux welder from Harbor Freight with a screw on nozzle will this spot weld nozzle work?

Asked by: Damion
The spot weld nozzle is a Tweco style tip. If your torch has a tweco style torch then it will fit. The nozzle has threads on the inside, so the nozzle threads on and off. If your torch has the push on, pull off style, then this torch will not fit.

I've seen this nozzle used in a video from Eastwood and no hole was drilled in the top sheet of metal prior to the spot weld. Is it recommending to drill first then weld or just weld through without the drill hole?

Asked by: DanG1962
We do recommend to weld through a hole on the top layer of sheet metal. Just be sure that when you do your welding, that you cover the entire opening with your weld.

Do you recommend using 13901 for use in welding in new firewall panel on 1930 Ford

Asked by: kenny86
This would be a great tool as long as you can get the Pliers to hold both sides of the metal. Important thing to remember when welding panels together, with this type of weld, is your metal has to be pushed very tightly together to produce a good strong weld.
